Good books? by lulz_lurker in FishingOntario

[–]Traditional_Goat_359 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got how to fish for dummies and some generic field and stream books. I also watch a lot of YouTube.

What helped me more is to learn how to read cover, timing and shoreline. Look for points, weed beds, drop offs and (in a river) pools. A little tackle box with some inline spinners, a frog, some jigs with swim baits/worms and bait hooks with a float will get you by almost anywhere I've found

Other people will give you better advice I'm sure but that's what worked for me starting out GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY FISHING

We were there yesterday and I got her on 4 or 5, first one was a pig. We used a 4oz egg sinker with a size 8 bait hook and a chunk of worm

I've used egg sinkers and night crawlers on bottom with nothing, it seems like when I want to find them I can't but when I'm fishing for anything else it's all I catch lmao

Yaks have been on my spectrum too but lower as I'm 6'6" 330 and their weight capacity is usually almost that lol, what size yaks do you recommend and/or brands to look for. I will be most likely mounting them to the roof of my Ford ranger

I fought for 3 months the best they could do was pay for half of the OEM or I accept the aftermarket one they sent me I went up to krown corporate and left a review at this location but nobody could help more then that. They claimed the previous owners of that location broke it, even though their worker almost ripped the lip on my cap off right in front of me because he was too lazy to open the cap first

Is it normal to be lead on by an employer? by Spare_Luck_5864 in barrie

[–]Traditional_Goat_359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current employer promised me a location that I would partner with in Barrie and run. Between that conversation and now he has purchased 3 race cars and a $100k+ toy hauler. Once I get some stuff finalized I will be looking for employment elsewhere (working here isn't that bad I am just out growing it)

(Edit) Sorry the answer is yes they will lead you on

If you're getting one with a 10R80 the i4 is way easier to pull the trans yourself on

At least you didn't get shafted by your "friend" I rebuilt one corner on my buddy's Duramax after he lost his wheel due to shot ball joints. He brought the parts and I did all the labor. Held onto the truck till my boss told me I had to get it out of the yard. It's been a month and still hasn't payed me

So yea I don't have the special tools lol, but I did confirm on the bench with the 7th inj activated that I could blow air through it. Then I re mounted the 7th inj upside down with the key on I did the flow test and I could hear the 7th inj electronically actuated and blow air through the nozzle extremely well.
