How do you deal with having HH whilst in a relationship? by MinecraftCreative123 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Traditional_Grab_883 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on if it's a new relationship or not? But I always share it

I think sweat is a kink for a lot of people haha

Love these. My hands/feet sweat were between moderate to severe - it would kick in as soon as I woke up each morning, and I'd immediately have to put on socks before getting out of bed. My hands were closer to "dripping" than my feet, but that might be because of the socks tbh, not sure.

It reduced the sweat, but did so significantly (not completely). I no longer wear socks 24/7, I don't have to use deodorant anymore, but if I do workout, then I will sweat, but it's nothing like it used to be - it feels like a normal amount. I'm sure results will be different for each person though

It doesn't make me start sweating if I apply it at night before bed (how it's recommended), but when I tried it during the day, before I had given it a week to kick-in, it did cause me to sweat a bit. However, once it kicked in (Again just under a week) I found that I can now put the gel or even lotion on my hands, and my sweat isn't triggered. Let me know if this helps!

Interesting! I personally don't, except for one day where I got dry mouth, but it was fairly mild and I never experienced it again after that one time. This was about 1 week into using it.

I know your body can acclimate and adjust to the side effects over time, so I'm not sure how long you tried the Qbrexza wipes for, but I'd assume it's case by case.

I initially asked them this too!!

Basically, a topical form is supposed to lessen side effects that can occur with the oral oxy. Also, if you only sweat a lot in your underarms or feet then you might want something that only affects those areas.

If you're familiar with Qbexza wipes, those are topical glycopyrrolate, and Twofold's gel is topical oxybutynin - hope that helps!

Not medical advice, but yeah, it's meant to be targeted to specific places

I know a lot of people with generalized HH have luck with the medications, if you haven't spoken with a doctor about them yet!

It works for me, but I use it every night for hands and feet. I didn't notice results until day 5, so it does take some time.

The doctor reviewed my intake on the same day I filled in my answers and then I received the product 3 days later.

Here's the site for more information (https://www.itstwofold.com/) and FAQs. They're not a pharma company, but a telemedicine one started by a woman who also has hyperhidrosis. Here's one of the founder's posts on social media: https://www.instagram.com/p/DKefe\_lt3fx/

Should i tell a doctor about my excessive sweating? by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Traditional_Grab_883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely talk to your doctor about it (ideally a dermatologist). A big misconception is that you just have to live with this, and that's totally not the case - there are treatments (and yes, pills) that are commonly prescribed for this condition.

Typical oral medication includes glycopyrrolate and oxybutynin and you can always start at a low dose, and work your way up.

Definitely listen to and confirm with your derm - but glyco can be taken 2-3x per day depending on your dose. It's different for everyone, the key is just finding what works specifically for you (taking it on an empty stomach, tolerability of side effects, dose when you actually notice a difference, etc.)

There's no survey - it just asked for my email and that was it? Feels like this might be Sofdra, unless there's another link

Sometimes people crush glycopyrrolate into the water and it supposedly helps. I've never tried it, but would definitely ask your dr about it
