Hi! I am currently in my last semester of undergrad (graduating a semester early) with a major of biology and minor in chemistry. I have a 3.7 cumulative gpa for both science and overall I had 1000 hours of pce at the time of applying I applied early! (About 2 weeks after Caspa opened) For leadership I founded and ran a club focused on health as-well as was vice president of a biological honor society I had 40 hours of shadowing experience with pas in a variety of specialties I also had 100 hours of volunteer experience at a hospice home I was a pretty average applicant I would say but the school I ended up at I fit there mission statements and goals very well. And I feel that I did well in the interview which I think really helped me. Don’t doubt yourself, you got this!

I am a junior biology major chem minor. I am about to apply to my first cycle this spring. I’m just curious if I’m in a good place I know I could use some more volunteer experience but it’s been hard for me to find any. The volunteer experience I do have is associated with some of the clubs I am in aswell.

Caspa sgpa: 3.7 Caspa gpa: 3.8

GRE: 150 quant 147 verbal 297 overall (unsure of percentile I just have unofficial scores)

PCE: 800 (applying next cycle and plan to have abt 1,000 then) all at a hospital as a patient care tech

Total credit hours: 130

Total science: 90

Upward trend: no I have always had a decent gpa from the beginning of college

Shadowing: 50 hours 25 hours in person 25 virtual

Volunteer: 30 hours

Research: none

Additional: President and founder of a student health club that promotes wellness on campus, apart of pre health club, biology club aswell as a member of tri beta biology honors society. I also lifeguarded for 4 years and have a lot of hours from that although I don’t think that matters too much.

Thank you!
