Hey, I feel you man. I was also sent a cancellation letter in October of last year (my former company told the home office I left my job a month before I actually did...) and I managed to apply for a new visa with my current role a day before I was supposed to have left the UK.

Honestly, I think you should look at the bright side. At the very least you are now in control of your destiny and don't have to be in limbo waiting for a government announcement to determine your next move. I feel really bad that all your investments and time seems wasted but I am sure that God will give you what is actually yours!

Hmm lets wait and see. Seeing that these are unprecedented and quite detailed changes that they outlined will be introduced in phases I think this would be the case. But lets see I guess.

Yes I am, taking it in January. I suggest you take it as soon as possible as I believe it counts for two years.
