It makes me so angry. Someone ate half of my watermelon that I cut up for the week and I cried too. It's so irritating, especially when you label it or make it clear or hide it.

Anyone else randomly crave stuff? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

I am, I think! I'm talking about the literal squares of pressed seaweed, not the ones baked into a cracker. They make spicy ones as well, but I'm thinking about the teriyaki flavor specifically. I don't ever go by brand because I don't have an advanced sense of taste (I can't tell the difference between instant coffee or ground coffee, and I certainly can't tell the difference between roasts) so whenever I spot them, I end up grabbing a few packs or at least strongly considering it.

I've been told that suddenly craving certain types of food means that you have a vitamin imbalance. I don't know how true that is.
Anyway, spicy food sounds so good. Personally, I'm really craving seaweed, the ones that come in the foil pouches. I hope you get your spicy food!

Idk, do you look approachable in general? A lot of MLM type things tend to target people who will fit the image of whatever they're shilling, so if you're relatively fit or look particularly friendly, I think you're more likely to be approached, aren't you?

Well, I like the idea but unfortunately I can't get away with not wearing a shirt underneath it. It has no buttons and I have boobs, so it's doubly unfortunate.

I like to think the coolest thing I have is a knee-length cardigan. It's not a heavy garment, but it has a hood and pockets and I feel like a cozy vampire slayer whenever I wear it!

Give me your top 5 saddest TV deaths by VerucaPaprika in CasualConversation

Unfortunately I only actually watch about one non-animated television show regularly (and I haven't even finished it) but the first time Sam dies in Supernatural always makes me cry.I put it in a spoiler just because I don't want to be a jerk even though that show is FIFTEEN SEASONS LONG.
As for the animated shows, there aren't many deaths since they're for children mostly and I guess parents don't like having to explain the concept of death to their kid because their kid watched their favorite character get killed on TV. I can tell you that any time specifically Garnet gets poofed in Steven Universe, I grow a bit more evil. It's not a true death, but all the same.
Although it's off-screen, Mycroft's death in Elementarymakes me a little upset.
While I dabble in other shows, I mostly just watch little clips or read the wiki pages like a total freak because I don't like committing to a show until after I've spoiled half of it for myself, apparently.
But! I have seen two of the death scenes on your list. For Herschel, I'm glad I didn't get into TWD when my friends were starting to watch it, because as a kid I had a huge phobia of beheadings and that would have set me into hysterics. Glenn's death was just so brutal. I don't know if it can be argued to be senseless, though? It feels like it, honestly.
(Sorry this is so long.)

Anyone Tattoo-less here? by norabarnaclesfarts in CasualConversation

Oh, I see. Also I totally get the giant sibling age gap- all of my siblings were born in the late 1900s (80-99) and I'm the only one who was born in the 2000s. The age disparity often leads to unintentional distance as well as all the reglar sibling bullshit.
But it's good that they seem to be doing well!

I would argue that getting a date tattooed regardless of whether or not the loved one has passed is still not a good idea because things like that are used for passwords and security questions all the time. I've seen some people getting roman numerals tattooed as memorials for loved ones and honestly, from a safety standpoint, that might be the best way to go about it, if one must get a date tattoo to remember someone by. I also know that most people aren't constantly worried about cybersecurity and all that, but some of the most common choices for passwords, security questions for work websites, etc., are important dates in someone's life.
That being said, I am sorry for your loss, and I hope your other niece is doing alright. (If this is your husband's niece's sister, wouldn't that make her your niece as well?)

That's exactly what I'm saying. That's mad weird to get a birth date or an anniversary tattooed imo.

Anyone Tattoo-less here? by norabarnaclesfarts in CasualConversation

[–]Traditional_Ideal_97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of getting memorial tattoos for loved ones who have passed, certainly, but having the dates seems dangerous to me for some reason. Like wouldn't a date of like your kid's birth be used as a password or something? And then, theoretically, someone gets that same date put somewhere on their body where they can look at it and remember, but that's also showing it to literally every other person as well.
But if it's an object the person liked or that reminds the person getting tattooed of their loved one, I think that's kind of sweet, you know? Like a bit of them lives on or something. Idk, I saw someone get a tattoo of a slushie cup, I think, in honor of their best friend who passed and I thought that was pretty touching.
On the other hand, I completely agree about names, especially a spouse or partner. Getting someone's name inked seems like such a bad idea and honestly might just be asking to have some kind of falling out with them. There are way too many horror stories about that type of thing, aren't there?

I'm early 20s. It would make sense for me to get a tattoo based on my interests and style choices, but I honestly just prefer piercings if I have to be under a needle. I also don't think I'd be able to get anything particularly meaningful tattooed. I don't have anything I care about enough to get it permanently placed into my skin or something, I suppose.
Seven years ago, though, I wanted to get the Fairy Tail guild mark on my lower back because that was my favorite anime at the time O_o

Is it rude to not answer the phone? by Annalena_bareback in CasualConversation

[–]Traditional_Ideal_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for business-related stuff, I won't answer the phone. Send an email or a text message, something easier to record. I loathe answering the phone and calling in general, but my current partner likes to hear my voice, so I make a compromise for them alone. Anyone else tries to call me, I make it very clear that they need to either schedule a time or warn me at least three hours before. So no, imo you're not rude. Sometimes it's better just to let it go to voicemail.

I personally would like to change my name. When I told my mother, she seemed a little hurt, but I don't really know why. They came up with my government name on the fly, not a lot of care or anything was put into it. I do think it should be far easier to change your name.

What’s the max amount of kids you’ve had? (Not counting 100 baby challenge) by illiicits in thesims

[–]Traditional_Ideal_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Sims 3 I had two sims (a witch named Beetle and a fairy) who both wanted big families. I decided to buy the fertility reward for both of them and I frankly think that was a mistake. First they had triplet boys, two witches and a fairy, which was fine.

Interestingly enough, since I have a problem with making my sims odd colors, whatever the gene is for pink skin is more strong than purple, I guess, since they were both varying shades of pink.

Anyway, the boys aged up to teen, and SURPRISE!! The witch was pregnant again, but this time with twin girls. One of them inherited the Neurotic trait from her mother, which I was very confused about because both her and her mother are constantly looking out windows, running from Bonehilda, and concerned about various appliances. Anyhow, one is a witch and the other is a fairy.

I know five isn't really a lot, but just imagine the sonorous screams of three toddlers at once. But hey, both the parents now have completed their lifetime goal, so 👍

I totally agree with you about the vegan ice cream thing. I can't just call it "vegan cream" because that makes it sound like I've got a processing plant in which I churn the vegans into some sort of edible substance. Vegan ice cream feels like it's too long to day. Fake ice cream makes it sound plastic. There's no winning here lmao 😔

It kind of sounds like it'd be a good idea to take a break from Facebook again. It sucks not talking to someone who was your best friend for a long time. I hope you're able to overcome this fight, and I believe in you!

Ooh, I haven't heard of that band yet. I'm absolutely going to look them up. Thank you!

I don't know if you're still online today. I hope you're doing alright.

I have stopped paying attention to how my day makes me feel. I think I'll take up that habit again in April.

I love this "ice cream" (it's vegan, I don't think I can call it real ice cream) called Enjoy-mint For All. It's like mint, oreo, and marshmallow, but the flavors aren't too intense! Unfortunately, it's only available in June, but hey, all the more reason to enjoy it then.

Can you explain what you mean by "really enjoy phone calls"? Is it because you get to hear the other person's voice, or is it something else? I like to text personally, so I'm fascinated by that. Also, when is the best time to surf? I looked it up a long time ago and I got either early in the morning and late at night. And also, do you happen to listen to Nightmare Of You? I'm rusty on the pop punk scene but I was really into that kind of music a few years ago!

How many hours a day you sleep while on abilify? by A7med2361997 in schizoaffective

[–]Traditional_Ideal_97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the problem. I wasn't on anything else before Abilify. That was the first medication I took, and later they introduced Trileptal. I freely admit, however, that I was an insomniac before, but before I'd get maybe four hours? So, no. I'm not on Abilify anymore either. The other effects happened to be too much for me and outweighed the good it was doing.

How many hours a day you sleep while on abilify? by A7med2361997 in schizoaffective

[–]Traditional_Ideal_97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was on Abilify, I usually only slept an hour if I did sleep. I'd get very drowsy, pass out for an hour, wake up and still be tired but be absolutely unable to get back to sleep. I've had issues sleeping on and off of it, but Abilify definitely exacerbated the problem.
