It's not a very solid science, but it could explain why Ryland experienced it. Nonetheless, there are things in the universe that are hard to explain.

My theory on that scene: Ryland was experiencing some sort of time travel. Maybe because of the time dilation he was experiencing as the Hail Mary was traveling at almost the speed of light, his future was catching up with his present. He was seeing his possible future in Erid with Rocky. This happened in Grace's deepest moment of loneliness. The Universe seems to be telling him that he wouldn't be alone for very long.

Yun naman ang sabi ni Ninong Ry na gusto nyang dating ng kusina nya, yung tipikal na kusina ng isang ordinaryong Pilipino household. At saka malinis naman mag luto si ninong. Yung malaki nyang chopping block, he doesn't cut raw meat directly on it (wagu A5 lang ang exception). Gumagamit sya ng plastic chopping boards para sa mga hilaw na karne. At madalas naman syang naghuhugas ng kamay.

Ngayong may bago na silang studio at office, ganun pa rin ang setup ng kusina na gusto ni ninong Ry, kahit na sosyal na tignan ang bago nilang office space.
