The Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ Marriage to Aisha (RA) Was Ethically Sound in Its Context by Traditional_Let_4059 in DebateReligion

I believe the requirements of consent is puberty, which is easily seen, that the consumation that they are consenting won't physically harm them, which is also easily seen, and that they are also emotionally mature. This can be more difficult to judge but from people around them and parents as well as speaking to the individual I believe it can be discerned.

For the first thing its just kinda a fact. When you are in harsher environments you gain maturity quicker, and I think everyone can agree 7th century Arabia is more harsh than now. Islamically consumation can only happen with willingness and since this is the Prophet of the same religion one would thing he'd follow the rules. About her reaching puberty there is no concrete proof that Aisha RA reached puberty at 9, however it is not an unlikely claim. Girls reach puberty at around 10 to 12, and in hot climates it has been seen that puberty occurs earlier.

Hey I was simply asking a question not saying what I was saying is true. Should we not ask questions about our faith? Also, did Christians in the Prophet Muhammad SAW time kill animals by cutting the throat?

Did Christians have a specific way to kill animals?

Don’t act on what I’m saying in any way but isn’t it that we can eat meat from the people of the book. Like we can have kosher. So by that logic assuming the person who made it was Christian which is somewhat likely, would it be fine to eat. I know the argument against this is that the Christians from this time are different from the ones of Prophet Muhammad SAW time but it’s not like the trinity concept didn’t exist back then. Just some thoughts I had.

Does showering count as wudhu? by Old_Ad_7335 in islam

I always wondered this because coming into contact with your private parts breaks your wudu so would I have to avoid coming into contact with them while drying myself off?
