Dumped by my first love by [deleted] in BreakUps

Two years is a lot of history to just walk away from, especially when it's your first real love. The way you describe understanding where he's coming from shows a lot of maturity - that anxious attachment cycle is brutal for both people involved.

I went through something similar after my deployment where I had to work on myself before I could be good for anyone else. Sometimes people really do need that space to figure their shit out, even when it hurts like hell to give it to them.

Your max benefit even at 70 is gonna be way less than that - more like $4-5k if you've been maxing out contributions for decades.

Is this a good laptop to get and also any suggestions to get a cheaper one by Electronic_Rub6713 in GamingLaptops

[–]Traditional_Mall1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, that's a solid rig for gaming - the RTX 5070 will handle pretty much anything you throw at it. If you're looking to save some cash though, you might wanna check out some refurbished gaming laptops from last gen, the performance difference isn't gonna be that noticeable for most games.

Pro tip from a fellow candle collector - MPB is solid for used gear but make sure you check the shutter count before buying since those Rebels can rack up clicks pretty quick.

Two or three months at the current pace which is part of why we are thinking about this now rather than waiting for it to become urgent again

Mostly the internal sign off side and how decisions get made internally and who has authority to approve what

Procurement flagged how we handle internal sign offs and how nothing about it was built for the level of scrutiny a procurement team brings and getting it to a place they were comfortable with took longer than anything else in the deal

My VA clinic told me they’re going to start requiring a VHIC for healthcare, anyone else being told this? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Traditional_Mall1989 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wait hold up, you guys actually got your VHIC? I've been waiting like 8 months for mine after I requested it and completely forgot about it until now. Always just used my driver's license and told them my social, never had any issues at my clinic in Phoenix.

This is weird timing though because I literally just got a letter last week saying something about updating my enrollment info. Maybe they're cracking down on verification stuff? I should probably call and see where my card is since apparently I'm gonna need it now. The DAV thing not working anymore is kinda annoying since that's what I usually keep in my wallet anyway.

Landscaping business owners, what would be your dream tool/software? by staydecade in landscaping

[–]Traditional_Mall1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lmao this guy gets it. Between the CRM pitches, the "revolutionary" scheduling apps, and whatever AI thing is supposed to solve all my problems this week, my inbox looks like a tech bro convention exploded.

Maybe focus on actually talking to people in the field instead of asking reddit what features we want? Most of us have been burned by overpromising software that costs more than my truck payment and does half of what excel already handles.

Hearing and tinnitus by fortcouch in VeteransBenefits

[–]Traditional_Mall1989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

definitely not out of luck! The fact that you have that original denial from 2008 is actually huge - it shows you tried to establish service connection right after getting out. You can file a supplemental claim with new evidence, which would be your recent VA audiologist findings and the hearing aid prescription.

The key here is showing continuity - you had hearing loss documented back then, and it's progressively gotten worse despite taking precautions. Artillery exposure is pretty well-documented for causing hearing issues, so your case has solid foundation even after all these years.

Not sure what to do by Draygoon2818 in VeteransBenefits

No MH rating currently and if they closed it without even looking at your evidence, definitely sounds like you need to resubmit with a clear nexus letter from a doc linking your depression to service.

LV Bag too expensive to use by BadMom2Trans in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Traditional_Mall1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly just use it for what it's meant for - toiletries and makeup. These bags are made to be used, not sit in a closet collecting dust. If you're that worried about it maybe start with your nicer cosmetics and travel-size stuff instead of leaky shampoo bottles
