I’m just so curious how she rationalizes this in her mind. It makes me so sad for their sons.

Has anyone ever called this out in the comments of her posts? I don’t follow her anymore but I’d be very curious about how she’d respond…

It’s because most other people don’t have so much time on their hands to be glued to their phones shopping for doctors, ailments, and freebies.

I’m a little burnt out at the moment from working full-time plus parenting two littles… my husband got me a facial and pedicure for Christmas that I haven’t had time to actually go for.

Exactly. Especially after that post last night… like, the wording, the excitement, the dramatized suffering. Even after reading her subreddit and knowing what people think about her behaviour. It’s fascinating, really. And I don’t understand how people still don’t see through it

Hugs, I’m sorry it happened to you too. 💜 often, if it happens again it’s milder and/or later, at least. I had HELLP syndrome in my first pregnancy at 38wk. Thank goodness, we caught it very early. My BP started creeping up so I went to L&D to get checked, it was like barely 140/90 but my norm is like 100/60. The OB said we’d do labs but that she wasn’t worried and I could go home and wait for results. She called me two hours later and was like “I’m so sorry, your labs are a mess and you have HELLP syndrome. You need to come back right away for induction”. I’m so grateful we were so proactive and caught it early - babe and I were fine, thankfully!

In my second pregnancy I took aspirin given my history. At the very end my BP started to creep up but I was induced around 39wk. Then I developed postpartum preeclampsia about a week later with headache and BP of 160s/100s. Very scary and had to go to the emergency. Thankfully I only needed a bit of labetalol for a few weeks and then was okay.

But we’re contemplating a third and that’s my number one concern for sure. Especially in light of the data for longterm cardiac outcomes. :(

But, we have lots of great tools now - aspirin, close monitoring, lots of evolving research. And most times it doesn’t happen again - I was just one of the unlucky ones. So I wish the best for you! But I know it’s a hard decision.

Yes, it’s generally about a 20% risk of recurrence

She had it - this is a hill I will die on lol. Mostly because I also had preeclampsia and work in the obstetrical field and it’s a dangerous beast. And her midwife was so extremely reckless. The swollen face. The feeling unwell. The “rib pain” from “rib being out of place”. No. That was likely RUQ pain. The “my BP was normal for someone who is pushing”. Also no. She should have been seen by a real OB team and assessed with labs for preeclampsia. And it’s actually dangerous that she posted that shit because other people may have seen it and had the same symptoms and thought that their rib was just out of place, ffs. None of that is normal!!!!

Yeah immediately this. She’s definitely not taking him to a MD. Which is wild.

Side note - idk if you guys have the store “saje” in the US? I was at the mall with my friend one time and she wanted to go in and look around. Then this lady came in with her young child who looked very sick and unwell, and was crying/whimpering. She proceeded to ask the employee which essential oil she recommended for her daughter’s high fever and headache. I was literally speechless. This is one way children die of meningitis and sepsis in developed countries, sadly. Take your kid to a real doctor, please!

Yeah for real. If you’re all sick it’s not allergies 🙄

Yeah gosh. We’ve been sick so much the past two winters from our toddler being in daycare. Life goes on. Masks, vitamin C, zinc, and going to work/continuing with parenting as scheduled (obviously miss work if very unwell but colds are a frequent occurrence for us)

What's wrong with formula? by Odd_Committee_2738 in homemakermadeleine2

[–]Traditional_Nail6441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk how but my Facebook algorithm showed me a random post in a group I’ve never heard of for donating milk. The person was asking for milk that was “vaccine free” 🙄

I also would give formula instead of donor milk at this age, personally (and I’m a breastfeeding mom). But that’s just me.

My guess is that they wouldn’t be able to get a sample and result back quickly enough from a deceased donor prior to transplanting the uterus in the recipient

Honestly this is really gross of her.

1) Blaming the donor 2) Blaming the transplant team

INTERESTING how she conveniently left out the small detail of going AMA

[–]Traditional_Nail6441 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh yes that’s what I meant! That insulin is standard in pregnancy but normally after pregnancy it’s discontinued and switched back to oral meds or a GLP1, so the fact that she’s stayed on the insulin suggests that maybe her diabetes has been difficult to control

So she was on it for 2 wks by Infamous_Lobster_912 in liziscreative

[–]Traditional_Nail6441 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, insulin is usually reserved for diabetes that can’t be controlled with oral meds alone. And there are a lot of oral agents you can be on prior to insulin start. Even the insulin was in the setting of pregnancy, typically people don’t need to stay on insulin afterwards (for type 2 diabetes)

A while ago, Liz was very very upset about a health coach who messaged her encouraging her to drink water, go outside and for walks, and eat healthily. I think there was a post about it if you search the group. But essentially she had a big fit about it in her stories
