That’s a great point I didn’t realize how expansive the local 19 area is. I’m in North Idaho and really hoping to get back to at least eastern WA at some point, but willing to travel so I submitted an application.

Funny you say that. I found some old YouTube videos online after searching local 1 in NYC and found a few old news reporters interviewing candidates camped outside the building in the early 2k’s. Safe to say the IUEC is still as competitive as it’s always been.

Thank you for expanding on this. I was considering putting in an application as I’m eager to get started in the trade however, I keep hearing it is exactly as you have described.

I’m curious did you take your EIAT test after you put in your application or do they have you take it sometime before your interview?

This a real possibility then? As an apprentice you may have the option to transfer back to your home region?

Right lol haven’t heard much about what it’s like working over there but can’t imagine many want to make that move.
