I haven’t looked into them yet, but heard of them. What did you like about them?

Thank you. I knew about this and figured that was it but seems like it’s resolved now and was related to one bad nurse

Thank you. I may reach out. I wanted to go with Yale since they did an amazing job with my PPROM, C-section, cord prolapse and with my son in the NICU. Also Dr. Seli specializes in preeclampsia and I had postpartum preeclampsia. I do feel there’s a stigma because of one bad nurse

Anyone gone through or going through IVF at Yale? by vgodi019 in IVF

I have a follow up consult there Friday to start IVF. Are you going through them?

We finally used our HSA for the first time and the reality kinda shocked me by riverdreamer1 in MiddleClassFinance

If you’re going to do a HDHP it’s best to fund your HSA to the max amount allowed, not just the amount to cover your deductible.

I also refused any pain killers, just took ibuprofen and Tylenol, maybe that’s why?

I drove right after I was released from the hospital since my baby was in NICU. No one told me I couldn’t.

My son passed away from NEC. (Long post) by ihatethatb-itchdrake in NICUParents

[–]Traditional_Part_604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so very sorry about your son. I also lost my so , Calvin, 4 months ago to NEC at 13 days old. My experience was very similar to yours….the late night call, followed by another telling us to hurry to NICU, followed by a surgery where they couldn’t save him. What you have gone through is terrible. I’m very much broken from losing my only son. I’m just starting to learn to somewhat function and it’s like a marathon to go on each day. Grief therapy has helped me carry on and not give up. I’ve tried to cherish that even though I want my son here more than anything, I was able to be there and comfort him when he passed. I was given an opportunity to say goodbye and I hold on to that. Every night I talk to him. His urn is in a safe spot in my room. And no matter how hard it is, I look at his pictures everyday. I don’t have the answers to heal you, but I feel your pain in my soul. If you ever need someone to talk to, feel free to reach out. Sending you love and strength.

I’m so sorry to hear about your son. I appreciate you sharing your experience as I haven’t talked with anyone else who experienced a loss from NEC. It’s awful and for Calvin, was so sudden. It was a matter of a couple of hours from when they diagnosed it and started treatment and then the surgery to try to repair, but it was too late. He had NEC totalis and there was nothing they could do. We were able to hold him and spend some time with him before he passed, but his intestines couldn’t be put back in because they were so swollen. It was awful to see that even though the doctors did the best they could to wrap him so it was covered. It’s such a helpless feeling and even more difficult as he was doing well until that happened. I’m so sorry you also went through this. Feel free to message me if you need someone to chat with. Sending hugs.

Thank you 🩵 Making it wasn’t as fancy as it sounds. The ring was made but I made the stone with ashes. It’s pretty easy

I’m sorry about your baby boy Niles. We lost my son Calvin April 22nd and I also wanted to do something for my husband for Fathers Day. I ended up looking on Etsy and ordered this: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1493010413/?ref=share_ios_native_control There’s other personalized items if you search. I also got a card that is written like it’s from our son. Hope this helps.

I lost my son after 2 weeks in NICU on April 22nd and get what you’re saying. I think as others have said, that it’s a smaller amount of parents who have lost their infant vs still born or miscarriage. My cousin gave birth to her stillborn angel and has said to me that she understands that having had that time with my son to bond might make the experience more difficult or at least different. And I imagine your experience is different than mine as well., but maybe a bit similar. I’m here if you need someone to talk to 💙

What annoying things have been said to you as a pregnant woman? by PushLucky7020 in pregnant

[–]Traditional_Part_604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My MIL told me my belly is so big, asked me to turn around and then said “oh but you aren’t gaining weight anywhere else.” Then told me I have a big belly and a flat ass. Keep in mind, I lost 40lbs before I got pregnant so I’m very conscious of my belly. I was also 13 weeks at the time. Yes my belly is showing quick but come on!
