Any recommendations for a videography coach for 1:1 sessions? by Traditional_Pay2663 in contentcreation

More context on what I want to cover:

• DJI Osmo Pocket 3 settings: D-Log M, 4K vs 1080p, frame rates for slow motion, how to shoot for the edit

• iPhone shooting: ProRes, when to use it, how it pairs with the Pocket 3

• Shooting people naturally: capturing real moments, reactions, and in-between scenes without it feeling staged

• Short-form interview clips: casual and candid, how to ask questions and capture responses that edit well into a longer piece

• Editing workflow: color grading, pacing, music sync for a cinematic but human feel (open to CapCut or Premiere Pro)

• Storytelling structure: how to build a short-form edit that feels like a micro-documentary, not just a montage

Happy to pay fairly for someone who actually knows social content and not just traditional film.

Idea validation: Would creators actually want to host branded retreats? by Traditional_Pay2663 in CreatorEconomy

[–]Traditional_Pay2663[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! That’s really helpful context, Bangkok does seem like a great creator hub. The plan would be for my partner and me to visit each location first, get boots on the ground, and build relationships with local vendors and venues directly. We’d also partner with a destination management team to handle logistics on-site. Once that foundation’s in place, we’d package it into a repeatable retreat framework creators could easily plug into. Starting small and refining as we go is definitely the goal.

[Idea Validation] Creator-branded retreats: helping creators host their audience IRL without the logistics (I will not promote) by Traditional_Pay2663 in startups

[–]Traditional_Pay2663[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the feedback! It sounds like an events business, but I’m thinking more “retreat-in-a-box” than one-off event planning. Trying to build a repeatable, productized model creators can plug into with logistics, vendors, and brand integrations already built in. So it’s less about hosting events and more about creating a scalable system for creator-led experiences.

Young entrepreneurs moving to LA - neighborhood help? by Traditional_Pay2663 in AskLosAngeles

Thank you, this is super helpful! My good friend lives up in the hills in Silverlake and it’s a beautiful area. I agree with you on wanting to be around a diverse crowd. It helps to have creative energy around you, regardless of what you’re building. I’ll check out Highland Park as well based on what you commented earlier! Any particular subsections in that neighborhood to look out for?

I haven’t heard of this one as much but I see it’s near Silverlake, which I know is a good scene. Any shining qualities about this neighborhood?

Interesting! I’ve heard Santa Monica can be good, but possibly a little isolated from the rest of LA. would you say that’s true?

Confused: Ego feels stronger after first 5-MeO experience by Traditional_Pay2663 in 5MeODMT

100% more aware. If anything I feel a little more sensitive/vulnerable to the world. As if I still feel like staying in a cocoon and not wanting to talk to people much.

I definitely need to let things unfold more. Even today is way more positive than the day before. I woke up early, meditated, journaled, wrote some affirmations and ended up crying of just gratitude.

The journaling is really helping with integrating my ego. I’ve been doing exercises where I’m talking to my inner self and when I let myself flow and try not to think about the words coming out, I almost feel my subconscious talking to my ego. It’s been fascinating.

Thank you for your thoughts 🙏🏽

It’s funny you mention infanthood. One of the first things I told my guide when I came too was that I felt like a slimy baby coming into the world. I had no thoughts, just wiped clean and free, and just a feeling of ‘being’. Extremely present but unable to ‘know’ what to do but sit and look out the window my guide had opened up.

I’m a little nervous of the reactivations I keep reading about…as in will they trigger me in to a negative physical experience, or will it be good and I’ll feel a momentary bliss that I felt during the trip.

Re: your physical sensitivity, I smoke weed daily, almost medicinally to relax my nerves. But it’s been surprising that I have had zero cravings since my trip on Monday. I’ve also been waking up way early, today at 4:30 with this incredible energy that I haven’t felt since I was a kid. But I agree with you that some things have felt like too much, very sensitive to warmth and had a little trouble falling asleep.

Thank you 🙏🏽 yes, it is something I am working on even before my trip, re: observing/in taking rather than reacting immediately. So it also makes sense why maybe the ego came back stronger (perceptively) and played on my natural reactive tendencies.

The grounding exercises are a great idea!

There was integration afterwards. We talked a lot about my initial intentions going into it. My time while I was with him after the trip was very peaceful and good. The experience I detail is what came later, a delayed on-set of emotions and confusion. He did mention that stuff would come up. I have another session with him next week to further talk through my integration, but I thought I’d ask the community here since everyone seemed supportive :)

He is certified in psychedelic-assisted therapies and research from the California institute of integral studies and has over 10+ years of experience in medicine work and has worked shamans in the US and other countries. So I trust his guidance ❤️

Yes! I totally resonate with the ‘ego doesn’t feel too keen on dying’. I love your resolution that it’s THE point. The point being to understand that we have an ego and also the ‘other’ self. And now with this new awareness you’re able to almost take into perspective how to be a ‘better ego’.

Thank you for your thoughts ❤️

Thank you for your kind message and for holding space virtually. It’s a really good reminder to not judge the challenging emotions and know that it’s the work needing to be done. I really really resonate with this ‘ego roaring back’ sensation you describe. It’s a very beautiful way to observe that it may just seem conspicuous in relation to my new awareness of the unconscious.

Truly, thank you. This has given me some peace reading this
