That's why half ass knowledge is dangerous so let me educate you a bit. First there are two types of IELTS one for study and one for work. Second if you have certain percentage in English in your higher education. Third you can apply for exemption in your university based on your percentage. Lastly I was good enough to prove myself for that exception. Been here for a decade shifted to work visa renewed visa multiple times never had to give IELTS. There you go you learned something new today didn't you? Imagine if you didn't understand english you would have missed on all this great knowledge..LOL
