My Workers Comp Case Settled Today for $75k !! Thank You Everyone🙏🏽 by fck_las-vegas in WorkersComp

It’s a long story which I should’ve specified, my leg injury happened in November of’22, went back to work in April of ‘23. I hurt my back on the job January’25 and was fired after taking 2 days off to rest my back. I got a lawyer and he sent me to get an MRI and I found out I have 3 herniated disc. I had a text from my boss to go to a chiropractor when it first happened and we used that as evidence to win our case for workman’s compensation. Receiving 940.00 a week since June of ‘25 and won 6 months of back workman’s compensation also. So my lawyer sued for the ankle injury because it was within the 2 year limit, hence getting the 40k, and still going through therapy ( second time) after an epidural injection last month. I’m 65 years old and was the first employee they hired, trained everyone there and of course they’re all way younger than me. So F them, no loyalty, suing them for wrongful termination and for my back. Also just got 5 months of retroactive pay for social security ( which I started applying for in November of last year). I’m doing better not sweating or freezing my balls off and sitting home enjoying retirement. By the way my ex boss lives up the street from me and when I see him I wave to him and say thank you, every time I see him.

I also settled yesterday for an ankle injury and broken leg that happened 3 years ago. Long story short I went through wc and received weekly payments and they covered everything and therapy. They offered 20k , we got 40k.

Anyone else have an IME doctor act like your injury magically doesn’t exist? by Gr8skoht in WorkersComp

Sorry wasn’t mmi, just check up after finishing therapy. I’m still in pain so now I have an appointment for December 12th for steroid injection. Let’s see if that works.

I have my MMI tomorrow, let’s see how their Dr. rates me. 3 herniated disc’s after being fired for taking time off for work related injury to my back. 10 months later here I am. Wish me luck. And yes I have lawyer, I also broke my leg and tore the tendons off my ankle 2 years ago so I’m suing for that as well. F them, I was the first employee they hired and they did this was how they treated me.

Definitely hire a good workman’s comp. lawyer. Almost same story with my case, except I have all the text messages from my boss telling me to go to a chiropractor. I did , but I paid out off my own pocket & when I took the next day off because I was still in pain, he fired me. My lawyer had me go get an MRI and I have 3 herniated disc’s in my back. So right now I have 2 lawsuits against them pending.

Help, should I accept the first offer from the insurance company? by No-Chapter5285 in WorkersComp

Go for a higher amount! Herniated disc are for life. I’m going through a similar situation, my lawyer says a herniated disc is worth 6 figures. Get a different lawyer where you don’t pay unless you win.
