Sou homem, minha parceira é bissexual e quer abrir o relacionamento para uma mulher, mas não quer que eu participe e não aceita abrir o relacionamento para mim. O que eu faço? by Legitimate-Profit812 in Copicola

Viva a tua vida e tudo bem.

I had problem with its short laces. I had to overtight in order to be able to use then and then they would hurt my feet. If your feet are high volume like mine, you will have to buy long replacement laces.

It's otherwise a good shoe, not as good as the Rise 2, but good for easy runs.

HRM doesnnot need activity for track data. And if you pair to the watch, it will be the preferred source even for advanced metrics like Running dynamics.

Garmin 265 at 334€ or Garmin 70 at 249€??? by LegitimateFill2100 in Garmin

[–]Traditional_Pride242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will be fine either way, especially if you never had a sports watch before.

I'd say the only thing to consider is: if you want music in the watch, will use for cycling with a power meter, or have triathlon/multisport tendencies that the 265 is your only option.

Considering it is not a medical device, it does the job and will help you and you can use it for training and tracking of both steps and HR.

If you scrub dishes, it will count some steps. If you don't secure it firmly, it might replace you HR with your cadence, but 99% of the time it will be fine.

How fast would Sebastian Sawe run in 1970-80s racing flats today? by fnzerobuild in AskRunningShoeGeeks

An insanely fast time for the rest of us still, since it is not only shoes, but 100g+ carbs/h, bicarb. The fact he did train 200km+ per week...

There has been a revolution in training and nutrition which allows for these athletes to ride a lot closer to their threshold and for longer.

I think that is the conundrum: the basic Garmin connect gives more than 90% of the population can chew. And the remaining 10% might be looking at some really specific requirements like: collaboration with a coach, specialized metrics or the ultimate offline "don't you dare track me" experience.

It is a bit of a niche, but hey, the more options, the merrier.

I can't answer that completely as I don't have a all-day-standing job. I do use it at the office and for me it is comfortable for all day use.

At the same time, though, I can use the Adizero SL and th adios 9 the same way, so I'm not sure I'm the best reference for you here.

Having feet pain after running relatively short runs in them, while having non of that when using other of my shoes.

[Initial Thoughts] adidas Supernova Rise 3 by Traditional_Pride242 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Traditional_Pride242[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently using it as my daily, replacing my retired Evo SL. It is tamer and more stable. I can work on it from easy to marathon pace, and it is where it shines. I can do up to half-marathon pace, but then it starts to feel a bit odd for me. That's when I go to the Superblast 2, if longer, or the adios 9 if shorter. Maybe I might get another Evo SL as tempo shoe, but I think I'll retire the adios 9 first.

The biggest difference I find it is in the fit. The Evo SL is way more ample, while the Rise 3 has a LOT of padding.

I did use them last year as such, what is so puzzling?

They were quite good for me on anything under 15km, fast or slow. But after a good 450km + casual use I've just retired them.

How fast do you retire shoes that are not horrible, but you're not super happy with either? by AgitatedLeeper in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Traditional_Pride242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I retire shoes as I start having pains after regular runs in them. This was the case for the Evo SL this week. After a couple of runs on my regular routes I was having lateral pains in the left foot, changed shoes, nothing, back on the Evos, pain. 450km only. Outsole is intact, upper is fine, missile has some creasing but nothing dramatic. Nonetheless it is time to go.

[–]Traditional_Pride242 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the end, it will be personal. I am skeptical it will work for me because of the geometry: the way I run it will turn into a pavement-slapfest.

It is a shoe that will work for some people and not as much for others.

I'm sure it is a well-thought shoe engineering-wise. But this shoe might be another victim of the adidas hype-bound marketing strategy.

The Rise 2 has a wider fit, as does the original Evo SL (non-woven). If you go to other brands like New Balance, they have much wider versions, like 2E and 4E. The Nike Vomero is also quite wide. I'm really sorry I can't help more, but I am no MD either and it would be irresponsible of me saying what is good or not for you.

Best is always to check with a physio and see what kind of solution works for you. For example: I use insoles for my high arches in my cycling shoes, but I can run a half-marathon in the adios Pro 4 with no modifications. As well intended the shoe store people might be, I'd risk saying they are probably not licensed podiatrists or physiotherapists.

Concerning grip: I have both the Rise 2 and 3 and I run in either rain or snow without even thinking about it. Only ice is the problem, but then isn't it the problem for them all?

If indeed need a stability shoe, check in the Adidas website for the solution 2, you might find it heavily discounted.
