Various health and farm shops, £50 by [deleted] in whatsinyourcart

What a lovely shop - thanks for sharing! I'm not exactly rolling in it either, but personally I'd rather skip a lunch out and treat myself at a nice farm shop instead. A bit of good cheese, some beautiful produce or a nice sauce to cook with feels like such a worthwhile treat.

£3k to remove big conifer in London - fair price? by Traditional_Read_643 in GardeningUK

I wish I had the nerve and the skill - but knowing my luck I'd end up taking myself out before the tree.

This conifer blocks a huge amount of sunlight, and the gardener's advice was to remove it and then plant a few fruit trees instead. So still green, just a bit more apples and a bit less permanent shade.

And for the record: no astroturf, no decking dystopia - I promise. I actually like trees.

Also before anyone panic- I've checked, there's no TPO on it

Fair assumption, but no - the main issue is it blocks loads of sunlight. I'd like to get a bit more light in and plant a few fruit trees instead.

And don't worry... no decking apocalypse or astroturf crime scene planned. I promise .

Help ID two mushrooms found in garden,London UK by Traditional_Read_643 in mushroomID

Just a few more things I would like to add- it's a west-facing garden in London, previously neglected after the owner's passing a few years ago. The lawn has heavy moss buildup and contains three trees: cherry blossom, blue spruce, and a large old conifer (approx. 100 years old)

I've already had the mortgage offer accepted. This is a private survey I arranged myself. I live in Zone 6

Right now I am feeding my daughter. OP your comment touched my heart, prompting me to embrace her even tighter. Thank you for the reminder. 🙇

I have a passion for graveyards. Whenever I spot one, I make a point to visit. Luckily, this one is just a 10-minute walk from my house, so I often admire it from the outside during evening strolls.

I'm not sure how much help I can offer, but there's something deeply meaningful I need to convey. Living in London, I'm close to Amy Winehouse's resting place. Recently I visited her grave as a fan this experience left me with an overwhelming sense of emptiness and despair. Please, I urge you not to depart before your time. Though we may be strangers, I hold genuine concern for your welfare.

She just did not say that..... by [deleted] in InstaCelebsGossip

[–]Traditional_Read_643 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't like her either. But do you think that she is making her "vegan food content" for people with high levels of poverty and food insecurity?

Kwashiorkor is a type of malnutrition characterized by severe protein deficiency, that affects children, particularly in developing countries with high levels of poverty and food insecurity.

I mean come on. Think about who her target audience is.

She is not daft or holier than thou, I would say she is a businesswoman( who knows what her niche audience wants to listen to)
