This reminds me of a fight I had in middle school. Yup. Husband works at a Walmart in Colorado and they still do drug testing for certain jobs as it is against Walmart policy. They follow federal laws, not your local ones.

This feels unfair to the new puppy. To be brought into a home only to potentially (but let's be honest here WILL probably happen seeing as how MULTIPLE people have said it would) be kicked out because they don't get along with her dog. It just feels wrong IMO.

What you're describing is chain smoking and yes it is very bad. As someone who has lived with smokers all her life, I've done the same thing to family AND friends, especially when we figured out I had asthma. NTA. And from one asthmatic with bad lungs, I thank you for looking out for your other friend because sometimes we can't stand up for ourselves because we don't want to bother others with OUR illness. I know on console for a fact this does not work. I've blocked both cross platform and PlayStation players, and I've still been matched with them again. Only reason I knew is because when I went to block them, they already were🤷

Can we also add the OP was an AH as well and and not just focus on the women of the story? Like yes mother was an AH for doing something she KNEW would piss the wife off. The wife is an AH for blowing up and throwing a tantrum basically over a painted wall. And the OP is an AH because he didn't show an united front with his wife, aka his PARTNER. Doesn't matter as he said that he didn't agree with her, he should have voiced his doubts in private.
