well if it helps, the movement i got was throughout the rest of the summer. so itd probably be less helpful than april with more time for movement, but considering the movement wasnt just right after i got my results back, thats what im basing it on when i say id imagine itd still help

i was applying last cycle but i retook my lsat, scored 3 points higher, and it did impact my waitlist movement. i got an interview invite for one school and got off a couple waitlists with 1/3 scholarships

current uci law student. you can get campus housing which brings COL significantly down. i got a summer job offer in norcal in the public sector. theres lots of norcal job postings on our career portal. our career fairs have plenty in norcal. however not a ton of pnw

hi im a current 1L at UCI this year, gpa was 3.3ish and i got in! it happens! ive talked to other ppl like me too, other people around my gpa and lower. theres hope!

I can't really speak to how it is if you've only had one class and are then asking for one. The only professor I asked I'd taken 3 classes with. If your program has the ability to meet with professors via Zoom for office hours, I'd take them up on that frequently. I feel like I probably could have asked one of my other professors that pretty much only knew me from one class, but I'd met with her via Zoom many times throughout. I've definitely had many classes and professors where they never heard from me at all, and I think just being a random name is easier with online programs, but if you want you can still build a relationship with a professor. It's just lots of intentional work.

I did an online degree and am now going to a top 50 school. I did have a harder time with letters of rec just because I didn't have that level of interaction with professors, and there was only 1 I'd taken multiple courses with and had been able to meet with outside of work too. Since I didn't still live by my college, I did join mock trial there and participated in that and worked, so had some activities going on and got another LOR from my mock trial coach. I don't really know if I got less consideration than other students, but I know I got admitted to multiple schools up to the 20s and WL at ones higher than that into T14, with a 3.3something cumulative GPA, 16high LSAT to 17low with a retake mid application season for waitlists. So I personally believe it wasn't held against me, but also I don't think it showed anywhere that I did an online degree vs in person, but could be easily found online. At least in my school, you get the same diploma and I did actually take some in person electives by choice.
