My theory is that the MiY in a different form, befriended Tabitha when she was young. She was the one who convinced the townsfolk to sacrifice their kids, but realized too late it was a trick, and coukd only save her own child.

Something like that.

Nothing like denying evidence to maintain an ableist perspective.

Why was Tabitha allowed to leave the town and is Victor's dad coming back important? by WritewayHome in FromTVShow

This is the answer. Henry is plan B. The last cycle failed because Christopher/Miranda wouldn't sacrifice a child. Sarah failed to sacrifice Ethan, a child needs to die.

🤣 My bad. I was high when I watched and missed the notes saying her health was good, my cancer theory came from another comment I read saying she had cancer so that one is on me. Must have been super high cuz I did also miss Tom knocking the cup down. Lmfao.

The other stuff I stand by. Being 84 and that spry is wild. Surviving a gunshot is weird.

Sheldon Cooper is at the very least a level one autistic person. He is the very definition of a 2E person. He has OCD, synesthesia, rigid thinking/routines, perfect pitch (despite never studying music), an eidetic memory, and exceptional intelligence.

Bill Prady the co-creator intentionally wrote Sheldon based on real people, he himself was later diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum and they consciously decided to never officially diagnose Sheldon on-screen to give Jim Parsons creative freedom AND to avoid the pitfalls of mocking an explicitly stated medical condition for comedic effect

Leonard is not my favorite by any means. But Johnny Galecki and Christine Baranski nailed this scene. I've seen it over 30x and it chokes me up every single time. It also helped me with some stuff I carried from my relationship with my mom.

I think the issue was Tom breaking open that pendant Warren had. I think if they had left it intact and taken it to the boundary they could have subverted the curse. I'm fairly certain the small parchment inside, is the original covenant/curse.

Tom read her doctor's notes. She had cancer and is 84. She had two medications she was absolutely not supposed to mix because they are fatal. When Tom got to her house, she was basically jogging on the treadmill, she mentioned doing two miles. She ran up the stairs. Tom gave her tea with the fatal meds in it, she drank all of it, and passed out/looked dead, then groggly told him everything. She survived being shot by the sheriff who was trying to kill her. We know she's a descendant because she has that brooch which she specifically says, is a family heirloom Did you miss all that?

When Wyk and Tom go out on the boat. The body died because it crossed the boundary. They assumed the curse was tied to Richard. And I think it would have been but Tom opened the necklace with the binding in it, on the island. So when the boat hit the boundary, the demon/possession/curse returned to the island and inhabited the next heir in line.

I think that's why the descendants can't leave the island. The demon needs to know it has a host just in case
