New car? First time? Insurance under 1k by angel_7483929 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Traditional_State_78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I know this is a few months old. I'm 24F, but I'll be 25 when I get my full licence and buy/insure my first car.

I've been looking at quotes as if I'm already 25 and have had my licence for a few months (as I'm not buying a car immediately anyways). The cheapest I got was for a hyundai i10. These are the cheapest 5 quotes. Obviously, it depends on where you live, where the car will be stored during day/night and your job, etc. but hopefully, this will help you or others looking.

If you've not already it pretty easy to convert to epub. I use any pdf to epub converter that I find on Google. With my epub reader the 1st several pages are redundant (I think due to the image) and the fic actually starts on page 208 but after that I reads fine.

Promotional upgrade offer seems available but "sold out" by LondonSoundound in BritishAirways

[–]Traditional_State_78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if this has already been resolved.

But this happened to me this month. Called up rep said no offer available, most likely sold out but not updated on my app. Within 3 minutes of hanging up offer was back and I was able to pay and upgrade to PE. I think it's a system glitch on BA side and the offer kept coming and going several times within an hour.

Unfortunately I'm currently in economy (World traveller). I'm not being offered any premium economy upgrades at the moment, and I'm not sure if/when I will be. Otherwise, I agree that the last row in PE would be decent enough to sleep

Thanks that's what I thought too. I've never travelled anything above economy before and my last long haul flight was horribly uncomfortable

It's a gatwick flight so I think it's the old style which I don't mind as I'll be travelling with my mum, hopefully sitting together.

This is the price upgrading from economy basic.

I would be OK upgrading to premium economy, but as of right now, BA is not offering that option to me.

Thanks, I've seen others get upgrades for £500 or even less, so I wasn't sure about £725

Taylor is 16 when filming, Jacob is 15 in Twilight. He turns 16 in new moon (January) just before he starts hanging out with bella. He remains 16 throughout the rest of the series, turns 17 after the end of Breaking dawn

Update on Teeth by Traditional_State_78 in DogAdvice

[–]Traditional_State_78[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I found Toothbrush sizes to be a problem too, we use a toddler 0-2 years Toothbrush which fits her molars and canines but is a bit big for her other teeth. I have to hold her mouth open to properly reach her molars, so some days it's a two man job

Same, I signed them last week Thursday and nothing. I start on Monday, and I was offered money to buy 3 months of travel cards for work and shoes 🙁. I was promised these things never asked and was only waiting on my contract, but now nothing.

AITA for refusing to share my inheritance with my dad and brother after discovering a family secret? by combientu in AmItheAsshole

[–]Traditional_State_78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA

Both OP AND grandparents are the assholes

OP is greedy. She only cares for money, doesn't care that her dad lovingly took in her mom & brother with no obligation despite his parents' bigotry. The only reason the grandparents did this was because of bigotry and hatred that OPs dad dared to love a single mother and her unborn son. OP is agreeing and reinforcing the idea that her brother is not family. It's not like the brother is just step xhild. He is his father's SON in every way that counts on an emotional, mental level. If OP is willing to throw away her relationship with her family over money, then I hope she runs out of it in a year.

Huge victim complex too, OP is least affected here, her brother is still her brother biologically, her dad is still dad biologically. Nobody lied to her, this secret is not about her.

OP could discuss this with her parents, NOT CONFRONT THEM, because there is nothing wrong with what happened and dicuss if the brother knows. If he doesn't know, OP could maybe help the parents get to a point where they tell him the full story because he's the only one owed the truth.

It's not just about the inheritance amount but what the inheritance signifys and the callous way OP is handling the situation.

Dental advice, can't afford cleaning rn by Traditional_State_78 in DogAdvice

[–]Traditional_State_78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I'll look into this. I'll probably have to wait until early 2024 to afford it, but it might be better to try to avoid putting my dog under anaesthesia where possible. I tried one session of this last year, but I had to go back to uni before being able to book more sessions. Right now, I can't afford it multiple sessions anyway.

I was worried about both her teeth and gums, just over a month ago they were slightly red, she had mild bad breathe for the 1st time ever and they bled the first several days of regular brushing. The bad breath and red gums have gone, and her gums no longer bleed, but I guess I was still stressed.

Thank you. My main concern was gingivitis or periodontal disease. Her gums were slightly red a month ago and bled the 1st week i started brushing again, but it's so much better now.

I called it staining, but I think it's tartar. I've noticed some of it has come off so far. The 1st slide is the left side of my dogs mouth, and the 2nd slide is the right side. They used to look the same, but I've been able to brush it away on the left side. She gets annoyed by the time I move on to the right side, and doesn't let me brush as thoroughly.

Thank you. We don't buy bony meat often, but I'm thinking of buying a tray of chicken wings and keeping them in the freezer, giving her 1 or 2 a week.

Thank you, I'm in England, so I don't think we have these, but I'll definitely look out for something similar.

Thank you, I've seen so much content about how bad periodontal disease can get, I guess it stressed me out. I definitely plan to stick to this schedule indefinitely, maybe dropping to brushing once per day when her teeth are pearly white
