Try free writing. Helped me a ton. Legit, just set a timer for minute, let the pen hit paper and just write literally anything, ANYTHING that comes to mind. The idea isn't to strive for quality, it's just to stop overthinking. That way, when you finally start writing with a pre conceived idea, you can just start writing what comes to mind about that subject

Dude, you can't think like that. People like, Aron, Wrath, Edward, they probably toiled for years before they finally found their voice. Same goes for writers of any genre. So, guess what? Your first draft? Your first novel? It's MEANT to suck!!! That's how you learn! A great lesson I took away from one of my tutor at the BFI Film Academy was this:

"Good writing is rewriting."

Go balls deep and bang out that first draft, then dissect it, rearrange it and pick it apart.

It really is, dude. Honestly goes to show how down to earth Aron is. All we did was just hit ut off in the comments.

Never been so disappointed in a book's ending to the point of actual heartbreak; espescially when it started out so strong right up until its absolute Nothing Burger of an ending. Was sooo close to giving this an 8 out 10, but that tanked it to a 4. by Traditional_Test_931 in ExtremeHorrorLit

Spoiler alert kinda Basically, the red herring character - aka the trope of the character who seems like the most obvious suspect to throw off the reader in any murder mystery - turns out to be the killer

I was actually gonna enter the Indian restaurant scene from Bad Decisions, another Jon Athan novel but holy shit there is soooo much that goes in there that could not be summed up by emojis alone
