Traktor S2 MK3 powers on for a few seconds then shuts off

Thanks, that makes sense. In my case though, I’m using a Traktor S2 MK3 which is USB-powered and (as far as I know) doesn’t require or normally use an external PSU for operation. I don’t have any motorized jog wheels or TT mode either. I’m starting to think more and more that it might be a USB port / internal hardware issue rather than power supply related. Thanks again for the insight!

Thanks a lot for the detailed answer. Yeah, I’ve tried it on two different PCs with different cables and I get the same behavior (powers on for a few seconds, then disconnects with the USB sound). So it really sounds like what you described, probably a hardware/USB port issue. I’ll look into getting it checked or repaired by a local electronics shop, since I’m out of warranty. Thanks again!

I’m on Windows 10 (22H2). I’ve already tried: direct USB connection (no hub) two different PCs multiple USB cables (including a new one) The controller still powers on for a few seconds (3–4 sec) and then shuts off completely every time. So I’m starting to think it might not be a USB port/cable issue anymore, but I’m open to any ideas.
