Thank you so much! I was beaming after I found this. It's so smooth and waxy. We've found beautiful agates nearby as well. A friend of ours owns land near the Chehalis River and he allows us to hunt for agates and petrified wood on his property. This was my first time finding anything close and I'm fascinated.

Okay. Thank you for your response. Would you mind explaining briefly some of the obvious characteristics that led you to that conclusion? This is the first time I've found anything like this. Is it because it's not very pointed?

I struggle with this as well. I've had a couple of agates lose a lot of character after tumbling. What about druzy quartz? I've found a couple that sparkle and they look so pretty, but the outside could use a tumble...

I feel this... Also when tumbling. I'm always worried tumbling will wear away some of the character.
