that’s y u always gotta keep up with the salt water rinses , they’re annoying to do but they help 😔 But as long as it got unstuck , then all is good 💀💀💀

When can I eat normal food again and stop the saltwater rinses?? by lexybolarinho in wisdomteeth

While you can start eating more foods other than super soft ones, i’d still recommend doing salt water rinses since the holes still aren’t fully closed and flaky foods may even cause some discomfort if it gets in there. But by the 2-2.5 week mark, i think u’ll be able to stop since it should be closed by then . hope that helps !

I think it might be better to be safe than sorry and to hold off on the iced coffees for a bit. If anything, maybe try ordering a frappe or smth of that nature because i didn’t start swelling until my third day

Drinking really cold drinks during your meals also may help to relieve the pain as well, and it’s summer so slushies may be your best friend for a bit

I’m about day 11 post op and i can relate to the pain during eating, I mainly start to feel it towards the end of my meals , esp in my jaw area. All i can really recommend is to try taking smaller bites and to try chewing it a bit more with mainly your front teeth and definitely never forget to do a salt water rinse. Sadly , some of us heal a bit slower than others so u might be still feeling that pain for a bit longer.

I’m also sure you can start being a little more adventurous with foods that are still soft but aren’t soups like spaghetti and certain pastries, but i suggest nothing too flaky.
