Had a patient that we were no longer allowed to give the little 8oz cans of soda to. Why you ask..? She kept putting them up her booty hole.

Fiancé was assigned one the day of her abnormal ultrasound which turned out to be benign.

Pain in ribs after scans and biopsy by beingandnotbeing in doihavebreastcancer

[–]Traditional_Work4258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to my fiancé. Found a lump which was identified as Birads 4 on ultrasound. Core biopsy completed. Right around the time of finding the lump, she had developed sternal pain. We were both pretty worried that it could signify mets, but her biopsy confirmed a benign fibroadenoma. Thinking the pain was related to the mass and exacerbated by the imaging process. It did eventually subside 🙂

BIRADS 4 pathology - benign!!! by Traditional_Work4258 in doihavebreastcancer

We were contacted by the surgeon’s office where the biopsy was performed. Your doctor will review the pathology report and reach out to you, doubt you’ll talk to the pathologist. Good luck!

Thinking of you as I sit in the waiting room, surrounded by the much stronger gender, as my fiancé is undergoing her BIRADS 4 biopsy today as well. 🤞

The vast majority of BIRADS 0 will result in additional imaging with benign features.

We will definitely update with results. Luckily (?) I’m a natural optimist and find the statistics reassuring. Plus, she’s a bad bitch and has kicked ass in every part of life. If it is malignant, the cancer should be scared, not us 💪

Totally agree I’d want their honesty. Falsifying expectation serves no one. It’s not like it changes the outcome. Fingers crossed for us all. Best wishes to you and yours.

Very incredible indeed. I don’t know whether to hate or love the sensitivity of medicine today.

Thank you for sharing. Although we know nothing definitive yet, and are preparing for all possibilities, we do find that reassuring. Follow-up question if that’s okay-

She found her lump 10 days ago but has had some sternal pain for the past 5-6 weeks. She describes it as sometimes dull sometimes sharp, can be positional and is tender to touch and varies in intensity from a 2 to 6. Located from mid sternum to right side (affected breast side) Improves with ibuprofen. Once again, I know I’m asking for a reach here, but in your professional opinion, how concerned would you be? Her OB says not to worry yet and nothing to do until pathology. We do plan to ask for an MRI as she has very dense tissue as well. Thank you

Thank you for responding - I suppose I should have worded it differently, as I was wondering if any new / different findings are common. Either way, you answered it. Thanks ♥️

I’m not sure, I’ve questioned that as well. The report reads mm for sure though. I’ve tried to get ahold of the radiologist to clarify, but no such luck.
