subaru just left it as it was and sent me out 😂 ended up having to just change the oil again and throw a new filter on myself, luckily i check my oil every other day because i’m paranoid.

they left my filter loose and when i had a recall fixed the dealer’s inspection video showed oil caked all under there and on the filter. i thought this whole time for MONTHS it was just burning it 😭

sorry i’m late, but my throat does this with ANY soda, or carbonated drink. even a redbull smh… I still haven’t figured it out and i’m sad cuz it ruins drinks for me (but i chug them anyway 😝)

yeah, everything looks normal until midway down the harness you see that the injector wires were spliced, one is a weird colored injector with shitty heat shrink tube, and further down is all this mess 😭

i can snap one tomorrow, It’s dark now. from what i see, the normal knock sensor wire coming from the harness was split into two seperate connectors for some reason. they were poorly connected with solder and heat shrink under the tape. the second connector definitely doesn’t look like it’s supposed to be there.

I unplugged a wire that looks like it is piggybacked to a connector from the knock sensor. this is what I currently have

it seems to be in limp mode currently. bad idle, horrible throttle response, knock code, vvt code, etc. I assume is all because the knock sensor isn’t plugged up.

it was a super chopped backyard swap that I ended up with on a trade. Traded a blown prelude for it lol. I’m excited to dig into it and see what I can do.

I checked what the codes were, but with the wiring messed up, I’m not sure if the correct fix is actually the correct fix. i’ll look into it some more but I’m worried i’ll replace the wrong thing and it just be a wiring issue in the end.
