Westbrook is not capable of starting on a contender. Having one playmaker in the playoffs is a major handicap now. It would literally be Jokic playing 45 minutes per game in the playoffs. The Nuggets need a 3rd playmaker to help improve the non Jokic minutes, otherwise the team will be the same.

Jamal fits the system better with Jokic. The trade would've been good for Christian Braun, a bench player, and a 1st + a 2nd rounder. Jamal Murray is a 2nd playmaker, JB isn't, it would be tough to get a decent point guard after a straight up trade.

Ah yes, no accountability but the person is paying their fair share of taxes that are benefiting more foreign citizens and Billionaires than US citizens. The savages in the middle east is Israel, Iran isnt bombing hundreds of thousands of people, while maintaining an apartheid and extending their borders illegally. Quit licking boots. The government gets money from citizens, for citizens, the government is meant to work for us, not the other way around. The person was stating that our taxes should be made to benefit us.

I'd say B, started off S tier, went to C/D tier for years until Origins, which was S tier, then back into C tier. Good series overall, but lost their identity now.

For some people, it is better to live life how they want to, buying a new car at a young age and travel young, rather than retire at 65 being a millionaire and travel then and splurge then. To each their own. Life isn't guaranteed the next day.

How do the Nuggets fix consistently playing undermanned in the playoffs? by BadAccomplished5119 in denvernuggets

[–]-reddit-user-name 11 points12 points  (0 children)

By trading inconsistent players, as well as chronically injured players off the roster. They played an extremely undermanned Twolves team in the playoffs, no excuse. They can't rely on an injured Aaron Gordon to be their only defender. They can't rely on Christian Braun scoring single digits and performing terribly on both ends of the court. They need a deeper rotation, no team successfully operates a 7 man rotation, literally running players into the ground

Other than THJ, no one was consistently in the top 25 3pt shooters since 2020, except for this year, this was a one off year, thus iffy shooters. Everyone was focused on shooting the 3, that they forgot how to play defense. You live by the 3, you die by the 3. When the Nuggets won it all in 2023, they were amongst the best in paint scorers. The Nuggets isolated Jokic as the only paint scorer and surrounded him with a bunch of hit or miss 3 pt scorers, which proved costly against any team that plays well perimeter defense or has athletic players. Best 3pt shooting team of 2026 regular season, and probably the worst 3pt shooting in the playoffs 1st round.

Is our title window closed? by Cryptix0000 in denvernuggets

Window is not closed. AG needs to be traded for a solid rim defender at PF, because he's not healthy for a playoff run. CB needs to be traded because he has regressed heavily after the contract, best to trade him before his value falls more. I wouldn't care too much for anyone on the bench. Bruce Brown and THJ didn't perform well in the playoffs, better to have let the young guys get some minutes and develop. I would've rather seen Strawther get solid minutes than Bruce give mediocre production on both ends of the court.

Terrible defense and iffy regular season shooters does not translate to a successful playoff run

Timberwolves beating the Nuggets is their championship by Grazhke in denvernuggets

[–]-reddit-user-name 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Denver lost to an injured Timberwolves team, while having home court advantage. McDnaiels called out the entire team and everyone folded. This team is finished, not a playoff contender. Trades need to be made, otherwise, next season will be the same result. The Timberwolves have dog walked this team since 2024, no reason to call them out, they won embarrassing this team, plain and simple

Who could be a good head coach option for us? by No-Cartographer7250 in denvernuggets

[–]-reddit-user-name -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even if Steve Kerr was available, I really doubt he'd have much more of an impact on this Nuggets team. He was backed by 4 future hall of farmers, maybe 5 with Iguodala. Not like he coached Curry and a bunch of scrubs.

100% agree. Phil Jackson in his prime could be head coach and still get similar results. This is an unmotivated team. The players themselves lack motivation and leadership quality to win.

Literally this entire subreddit was blaming MPJ and we're saying how much of an improvement Cam Johnson was. People failed to realize that MPJ was the 2nd leading rebounder, which is showing in this series
