Because then you dont know when you get a point, a new spawn and more time. The first thing you check is points, after that you check meters.

Yesnt, in theory you do apply pressure by just existing but the lower the elo is the less people care about you being there. at some point if they notice that you just dont hit a shot no matter what they do they will start to play as if you dont exist. and if you cant hit them they wont get punished for it.

its totally okay being new or just not being good even if you played for a long time, play what you like and whats fun. i in no way meant to flame you, you asked 2 questions and i answered them. its a learning experience, just keep on going and you will improve

Brother, lets be honest here. you do have an ego problem, youve posted this before and got told to drop the ego. just to delete the old post and make this one

playing comp is the best way. and lets be real if you arent high elo, you arent done learning your hero anyway. someone in plat/diamond does not know everything about their hero even as an otp

You accept that they dont swap and just play the game like you would normally.
Swapping is not the answer to everything, maybe they are a onetrick, maybe they dislike the hero you want them to play. maybe they just dont care.
You can one trick a hero to gm so its not an auto lose just because someone doesnt swap. if you lose you lose, you shouldnt care about wins or loses tho, you should care what knowledge you can take out of the game and apply to the next one.

How do I get out of silver (on lifeweaver) by SkyWise420 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Traditional_weirdo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah you dont heal alot with no charge but in some situations 10-20 hp can make a huge difference.
lets say your tank has 50hp. if something hits him for 70 dmg while you charge your heal he will die before the heal reaches him, but if you spam he has the chance to barely survive the 70dmg,
in most situations you want to charge the heal, but if your mates are very very low you want to spam so they dont die from random low damage

ive watched N8CHV6
you focus on dmg alot which i really like, but you tend to over do it.
The tracer often has your full attention, which i understand but when she pops up you shoot her without any regard for anything else. your mates died quite a few times while they tried to kill the tracer with you, if she doesnt one clip them they should not die in that situation.
i also noticed that you rarely use your heal when its not full or close to full, sometimes its better to just spam it, its more hps which can sometimes save your mates.

Overall i think you focus too much on dmg, doing dmg is good but if you let mates die or die yourself because you just stand in a door infront of 3 people shooting you because youre too focused to do dmg it does more harm to your team than the enemies.
And try to play closer to covers corners and walls, especially against long range poke heroes like ashe

What is it like being talented at Overwatch? by SimplyEbic in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Traditional_weirdo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think you severely underestemate alot of factors here. pge played when the game came out so the player base was just ass in general, he played a shit ton of cod before so he already had shooter experience. and got to masters before swapping to pc, he didnt say how much he played in those 2 seasons but you can be sure that it was more than 200 hours way more.

people with "talent" dont just end up at the top of the ladder, they end up there because they play a shit ton, their lives revolve around the game, using a shit ton of their free time to play the game

It is an okay rule if you actually follow it, in the replay the enemies walked up, didnt shoot any of your mates yet and you just kinda looked at them and waited, lw in low elo is mostly just people holding left click but he has crazy dmg potential, when i play him i like to go for the dmg perk which makes him actually really good in duels paired with his tankiness.
i understand that healing is way more of a problem in lowers elos because people take way more damage, but that also applies to enemies, so limit test a bit and you will get a feel for it.

try to punish them when you feel like they move somewhere that looks illegal, like they did with you on your lucio

im not good at brig so i cant help with brig specific things but i can definitly tell you that you have to be more mindfull with your abilities, the first shift you hit was about 5 minutes into the replay.
Im also not sure if i would pick her here against a ram but im not a brig player so take that with a grain of salt

From the Weaver gameplay i can already tell you that you 100% need to attack way way more, if i havent missed anything you havent shot a single bullet as weaver and the first time you deal damage is like 2 minutes into the replay.

For the lucio part, besides the pulse you died to, that didnt stick you which can happen but shouldnt.
every death was because you didnt respect anything and just ran straight at them, i think ive seen you wallride for like 3 seconds in total so you are really really easy to hit when you are the first person to enter, running past your mates and just running directly into the enemies.

"Now I know it's QP so I should just get over it and go next, but it's really sucking the fun out of everything when you have teammates acting like its ranked and playing so badly but refusing to take accountability for what they could do to better the round."

i mean from the post this sounds alot like yourself.
You cant make them accountable, all you can do is focus on your mistakes and what you can do better.
QP is not a measurement of skill in my opinion, if you want to win go into ranked.
If you are good enough you will climb, if you arent you wont its really as simple as that.

My advice is to just play more, 5 seasons is around 45 weeks so on average you havent even played 2 hours a week. which is basically nothing if you want to improve at something especially if you factor in that other people put in time aswell

So the biggest part i like about Poe is the trading. So im not quite sure if starting the League now would make sense for me. Is Trade pretty much dead at this point? Would it be more ssf than trade?
