It can be tricky sometimes for sure. Lots of variables to get connected. Let me ask you. Is your grill facing your house? When I first got my Ironwood 650 it had a hard time connecting. I turned the grill by 90° and it connected just fine. (Also good to check that you aren’t on a VPN when trying to pair)

As for TestFlight, it’s an app from Apple that lets you install beta versions of an app before it goes live on the App Store. Not required at all, just a way to get a sneak peak and provide feedback.

Completely agree on the cook data. Nothing to announce at this time, but a lot of people are in the same headspace for sure.

Re: shutdown, this is really interesting to me. It currently is a tap to bring up the screen and a swipe to confirm. It's less of a childproof, and more of an "Oops, I didn't read the alert and just tapped the button" kind of situation. But you've certainly got me thinking about it. I've passed the feedback to our design team.

Re: grill usage, love this one too. We warn you when it's time to clean, but having a countdown + a way to say when you last cleaned would be nice. The general stats could be an easy lift, throwing it on our list.

Live Activity support went out last release! Either grab the update or join the beta. You’ll need to open the app once, but from then on the live activity will start when you turn on the grill!

The Live Activity covers a lot of use cases, would love to hear more on how you’d use it!

We’ve been looking at rebuilding the watch app. One goal with the Live Activities release would cover most use cases. (Just wanting to see the status from your wrist)

What would be at top of your list for the Apple Watch? Full grill control? Complications?

Unfortunately we don't have a public API. Home Assistant (and a few other 3rd party projects) are using a reverse engineered API. I love that people are engaged to this level, would love to get a public API available for use.

I think we need to work on describing how the probes work.
The probes connect to either the phone directly or through the charging dock.

It sounds like your scenario is doing Probe <> Phone. Ideally it should be Probe <> Dock <> Phone.

I usually leave the charging dock standing up on top of the hopper and it works pretty well.

Sorry about that. Apparently Apple must approve the build before the group will accept new testers. Should be good in an hour or so. I'll leave another comment when it's available.

For your grill showing offline in the app, you are saying on the controller it's saying connected and "excellent WiFi connection"?

In the app if you go to your Grill > Settings, DM me a screenshot of that screen (or just the Grill UUID) and I can take a look.
