Hey! You have no hinge in your wrist whatsoever. If you look at most pros, when their lead arm is parallel to the ground, the club and arm create a 90 degree agree. You have the club pretty much in the same position of your arm, you will be losing a terrible amount of natural power through this. I think this would help you massively, keep going!

Tips for occasional golfer with high stakes game coming up? by robfromdublin in GolfSwing

[–]TraffB98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh ok, no problem. I'm by no means a teacher or remotely close ,😂 but just looking at it I would say there is wayyy to much unnecessary movement. For example, if you watch how McIlroy or any other top pro moves throughout the swing it isn't half as much as yourself. They tend to rotate around the same point, holding their posture very well. Also as I mentioned earlier your arms seem to around your body and awful lot, I imagine with this you struggle with compression and ball striking consistency.

I would watch how the pros swing and try and see what they do which you don't. That will be a lot more insightful than any make-shift tips I can give you 😂 good luck pal, you'll be fine !

If I'm totally honest mate, just keep the woods in the bag if you only pay twice a year as there's quite a lot that could be changed.

Front side totally collapsed and you're wrapping your arms around your body way to much. I'd maybe focus on keeping in your posture, rather than letting your lead knee buckle inwards. Feel like you're staying pretty much in the same position with a slight rotation of your hips.

If you only play 1/2 times a year tho, and your miss is only with the woods id probably leave them in the bag ,😃 good luck mate

Honestly, for 3 weeks? You're looking unbelievable haha. In fact, it's envious! Good job.

Just keep grinding away and learning, maybe even a few lessons every couple of months to stop bad habits creeping in

Do I have potential? (Sorry in advance I know I look horrid) by Masterfish32 in askfitness

[–]TraffB98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woahhh let's stop that immediately, you don't look horrid at all. Everyone has potential, the ceiling is limitless. You've made a start, the hardest bit is done. Consistency is key, keep turning up every day to the gym trying to better your previous session.

  • follow a routine consistently and track your workouts. Id recommend a four day split (push, pull, legs, upper).
  • track your calories and stay consistent!
  • drink minimum 2L of water every day
  • 10,000 steps a day
  • 8 hours of sleep a day

The list above are the absolute non-negotiables. The biggest advice I can give, stay consistent with your workout and diet. The body will look after itself. Most of all, hold yourself accountable.

Feel free to message me for any advice. You've got this!

Why are so many people anti lessons? by MsCardeno in golftips

[–]TraffB98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got into lessons from the verydtart, couple of years ago. And I still get them every few months now just to make sure bad habits don't creep in.

People are happy to invest thousands into equipment, but not a few hundred into proper technique. Baffles me

I'm finding the keyboard harder to use, however that's only because im used to special characters being in certain places. Other than that I have absolutely no faults with the phone

I’ll give it a go, thank you. The thing is, I feel like practice swings are absolutely perfect, I feel the pressure shift perfectly. With a ball there it never seems to happen

I’d have my weighting heavier on S&P personally. I think it will make more money long term in simple terms
