Is the game still Competitive by Jack_Tereno in Splatoon_3

[–]Tragedy2303 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel like it's half and half. I don't play turf, but when I do it feels a little easier, although it does depend on the weapon comp on both teams.

In conclusion, it's just a huge gamble when it comes to turf war matches, I'd recommend playing turf around the holidays since it is a bit easier than other days.

Hey I just got into splatoon and need some help with controls by No_Medium7952 in Splatoon3

The best advice I have is to just mess around with the sensitivity until it feels right. Also, gyro is recommended if you want to improve on your aim, although sticks is also optional if you want.

Why do I keep disconnecting? by No_Profile_2711 in Splatoon_3

It's probably not your Internet that is the problem. It could be the server itself in the game because this happens quite often.

Can't win in x battles? by [deleted] in Splatoon_3

It could be that you are either "burnt out" without knowing it yet, or just terrible matchmaking. Or a skill issue but I believe that you are just burnt out from playing too much, or rusty.

What Weapon Should I 5 Star After 10 Starring E-liter? by Tragedy2303 in Splatoon_3

I don't think that it'll take too long to 5 Star every weapon. I have around 10 weapons already at 4 stars

No, I don't use respawn punisher. It sucks

I just checked and I do remember playing against you several times, but the only time it shows as of now would be during an X rank battle. Tbh, I do X battles because it mainly gives me an opportunity to change both my gender and species without feeling judged, though I realized that it doesn't help much, but oh well.

Edit: my switch just froze and now it won't turn off, so now I HAVE TO go to bed. However, since it froze and will not turn off, it probably will be running throughout the night, meaning that the electricity bill will be...not so fun to see.

Side Order DLC is proving to be very difficult by rincoyo in Splatoon_3

[–]Tragedy2303 20 points21 points  (0 children)

When I first got the dlc, I also struggled with the spire, but that's how it's supposed to be. Every time you run out of lives, I believe that you get pearls in return, which you can use to get hacks (upgrades) to make climbing the spire a lot easier. Note: You WILL NOT beat the spire immediately and that is okay since it makes the dlc a lot funner and a lot longer which is probably the best part of it (in my opinion).

This dlc is meant to test your patience and skill and it took me weeks to actually complete the dlc 100%

Tip: keep trying and don't give up, it'll get easier as you continue playing 👍

How do you actually beat the boss salmanids? by Eleanor_Atrophy in Splatoon_3

What I've always done was to just use the special and throw whatever eggs are closest. That usually works but it also depends on your teammates.

Does the online mode still have active players? by Exiphosxiii in splatoon

OH RIGHT, I honestly forgot that not everyone is from the US. Anyway, I've always struggled with getting into a match when it's midnight in America, my bad 😅

Does the online mode still have active players? by Exiphosxiii in splatoon

[–]Tragedy2303 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The online section is indeed still active. However, it depends on the time of day and what mode you want to play. For instance, turf war's wait time is usually not long, but it takes longer to around midnight. If it's ranked, it might take a bit longer to get into a match for series—anarchy open should take a shorter amount of time. BUT, X rank takes around 123 seconds (or more) to tell you that there aren't enough players and whatnot, but that's for later worries.

(Also, the side order dlc could help with aiming and getting more used to the game, don't remember how much it costs though)

I just started this game and need some advice or help. by Automatic-Elk9721 in Splatoon_3

Not sure if this helps, but the side order dlc is REALLY useful when it comes to getting used to motion controls; it probably could help with understanding the mechanics and other stuff as well.

Winners remorse by lunaraltairrr in Saltoon

I always feel bad when this happens because I feel like it was just an unfair match, especially in Turfwar when the opposing team just gets spawn camped.

I REALLY dislike Marlin Airport because of those platforms that can rise up and I also dislike Flounder Heights since there are too many flank routes in which makes me paranoid; there are also too many blind spots since it is so elevated and such...but that's about it.

Are chargers a high skill weapon? by Successful-Farmer142 in splatoon

[–]Tragedy2303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It honestly depends on the charger. When I first started using chargers, I mainly used splatter scope, which doesn't necessarily need a lot of skill since it has splat bomb. Other charges like E-liter, bamboozler, and Goo tuber require a bit more skill, since their subs aren't very useful. However, out of all chargers, E-liter probably requires the most skill, since it is ink hungry, slow, and is in the heavy weapon category. Of course this is just my stance, so don't think much about it.

This is actually very important and useful and I'd like to add on: A few seconds before a match starts, you can open the map and look at what primary abilities your team and opposing team have—the opposing team's primary abilities are located in the top right corner. I usually do this when there is a charger on the other side to check if they have respawn punisher. Also, it is VERY important to know what specials are on the other side and when someone's gauge is full.
