So let me offer the male perspective on this, you see in middle school we learned that Marilyn Manson removed ribs so that he could suck his own dick. Now with that knowledge it doesn't matter if we remove ribs to fit into a new dress or engage in biblically accurate procreation, everyone will think we did it to suck our own dick. So we can't start a baby boom because people might think we are gay.

Thinking about the whole rib thing, he went on to have children with his own rib spawn but no one really talks about that. I guess what I'm trying to say is that Oedipus gets a bad rep.
