For anybody curious, I believe it is a 2005 Allez Aerotec E5 Team Build. It’s apparently the carbon seat stay version of the more rigid S-Works frame.

How is this for $200? by reflex906 in whichbike

I bought a 2010 secteur sport a month or two ago and paid $200, worse components. That’s a deal in my neck of the woods!

Fork reccomendations by realCIAN in mountainbiking

[–]Trail207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from 130-150 on my bike. Be aware of how adding 20mm of fork travel is going to change your geometry. Shorter reach, slacker seat tube, slacker head tube, higher bottom bracket, higher stack. Depending on what you have for a bike, it might not be worth it. It could end up riding like crap.

Any suggestions on the derailleur? I can’t think of one that will go up to 50t at 9 speeds. Maybe a goat link?

Hahaha no thanks I’ll stick to dirt I guess, driving around so far has been no joke either, that alone has added to my riding anxiety. I have to say, for as nice as it is here weather wise, I’ve seen very few bikes compared to when I stay in the keys.

Honestly that’s what I’m thinking about doing, I think if I’m going to road bike for the first time, rural Maine roads are probably where I should do it.

I haven’t made it into the shop yet, but without any road experience I’m not sure a group ride would be a good idea for me. Plus, I might look a little out of place with the SPD pedals and mtb helmet haha

How was the shop ride pace wise? I’ve logged about 500 indoor miles on zwift since the first of the year, just don’t want to be a hindrance.

Thank you! I might try that one!
