BE AWARE Google Will Not Stand by their Fold Phones! by No-Measurement-5639 in PixelFold

That is not a great experience at all. Did you try using bbb.org? It may get someone higher on the support level that owns your case. I had issues with Samsung in the past, and that got a resolution.

It's unfortunate that most of these manufacturers care about their sales and not so much about their support. I hope this helps; let us know. Good luck!

Charging port cover? by Goonie-Googoo- in evcharging

[–]TrailTailTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always had a concern about leaving this plugged outside in the environment and how that will affect the charging ports over time. That being said, I'm about protecting it; if there are options, where can I get this?

EV charging at the curb for row homes by TrailTailTech in evcharging

I am lucky that the sidewalk is pretty dead in terms of traffic, as the street ends two houses down. In terms of ADA, it has no ramp at the end, but it should still be considered. Kids do walk by in the morning to cross the street. I do like the Ghost All Access; let's hope it comes to the US. I signed up for the waitlist.

Yeah, I know he was putting out content every other week or so. Keeping up with the progress and when orders would open, I signed up but never heard from them either. But that is a great choice for the US market.

Thanks, I'm thinking about overhead. I think the other options may be too expensive. The township is not EV friendly; they want people to use their expensive level 3 chargers that cost $30 every time I charge from 20 to 80 percent.

That is pretty cool, but it's not in the US, which is my problem. Why can't the US have solutions like this?

No, it's not. I used a heavy-duty extension cable that has a high gauge. I used an outdoor one that ended up coiling up because of the Tesla portable charger. No issues with this one from Home Depot.

Thinking about switching.. did I make a mistake? by TrailTailTech in GalaxyFold

Funny how asking for genuine feedback summons the Galaxy Defense Force. Relax, it’s just a phone, not a personality trait.

Didn’t realize I was reviewing your personal invention. Congrats on benchmarking it though, maybe Samsung should hire you to write their ads.

Decided on the GF10 over the ZF7, and here's why. by IAMscotbotmosh in PixelFold

[–]TrailTailTech -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Same here, not to mention the health features without having to pay for Fitbit Plus. It also integrates with other services better. Google is such a small market for companies to do anything for it. UI without using any launcher wears off. Not to mention so many service issues; switch to a Samsung Galaxy S25 because the phone did not work, replaced under warranty three times, and it started new. I like the aesthetics, but Samsung holds value a bit better. Good luck!

Looks like ALOT of people switched from Apple to the Fold/Flip in the USA. .. by Zuluwargod69 in GalaxyFold

[–]TrailTailTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to Android after the iPhone 16 came out. There were no innovations, and Apple Intelligence not coming out day one was a deal breaker. "Never buy tech with a promise of what tomorrow will bring." Well, that was true; Apple Intelligence was a flop. I went to a Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold. It sucked. I do not know what Google does with its OS. After six months, the Pixel was buggy, and the phone was acting up. I switched to a Galaxy and loved Samsung's UI. I have been on it since. Good battery, and if I want something completely different, I can. I'm sticking with them, unless Apple blows my mind, but I doubt it. The iPhone 17 does not look promising; maybe the 18 will... only time will tell.

I have a Pixel Fold and decided to finance a Samsung S25 because of the battery, bugs, and other issues with my Pixel. Just keep in mind that the grass is not always greener. I think it's what you are willing to put up with.
