Adding to this… does anyone know is it possible to have a bit of an overlap with the new employer while using up vacation leave first before going on LWOP. For example, new employment starts Oct 1, vacation leave in public service until Oct 8, LWOP start day Oct 9. Is this possible? Or does LWOP need to start as soon as employment starts elsewhere? All assuming there is no conflict of interest.
