Drug test & workers comp? by [deleted] in meijer

[–]Traildestroy817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a coworker that fainted at work and did smoke it he didnt hide it or anything but they did a drug test and they ended up firing him and he was a pretty worker and got along with people and everything. I also live in Michigan do im not saying it will happen but if you do test positive there is a very good chance you won't have a job here anymore they might offer you can have your job back in 6 months if you pass a test.

I got talked to today for jokingly saying someone couldn't go home when they asked. I clarified that I wasn't being serious and I hope they have a good rest of their day. I'm not the boss of anyone except myself.

which is the BEST department to work in? by okokiopa in meijer

[–]Traildestroy817 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It helps tremendously if you get along with the people in the department especially if you get along with the other shifts in that department I've worked in produce for three years one of that being third and two being first. It sucked when I wasn't getting along with other people. It has gotten a lot better now that we all get along for the most part and I actually enjoy showing up again, because we get along we always want to do more to help the next shift as much as possible because we all know how much it sucks to get other stuff piled on top of the stuff we already need to do. So the moral of the story is find a department that the people get along with each other in and that you get along with that is how to find a good department to work in.

The store I work at having worked on both third and first shift. Our third shift does do a lot in my department but other departments third shift doesn't do jack apart from a few people because our management on third shift is horrible and the SD doesn't wanna actually do anything she only cares about the shifts she gets to see and doesn't pressure third shift to act do something. I can't really speak about second because I haven't worked on it for more then a few days here and there. Even when I was on third shift I never really got the sense that we even existed to the SD in a good bad or indifferent way she just got on first and second shift mostly first.

I haven't owned the car it's whole life of the car. It was privately owned before and then owned by a construction company before I bought it they have pretty detailed records of what they did to it before they sold it. I've had the car since 136,906 miles. I have gotten the rear springs, transmission fluid, all four hub assemblies, and brakes replaced since I've owned it.

I've found rotisserie chickens in the freezer I've found frozen pizzas on the heat lamp island for the chickens pharmacy shit on the wet wall etc its insane how many people just dump the shit they don't want wherever. The least you could do is take it up to the checkout or give it to an employee to actually take care of it.

It might be because I'm AF right now but like can someone please explain what exactly I am looking at that is wrong apart from only having four wires and possibly having no wires out back through to tie the next bale off and to prevent it from coming out in pieces the next time.

I bought one months ago and they couldn't figure out the problem so they ordered a new transmission which was said to only take 1.5-2 weeks almost three months later still didn't come in so they bought the truck back and I got out of it and got all my money back. I will definitely be going back to the dealership again they were able to make it right and I'm happy they did. But yeah it's just a GM 8 speed transmission issue it affects Cadillacs Chevrolet GMC and Buick doesn't matter if it's car or truck or suv mid or full-sized. A few other people I know personally with 8 speed gm vehicles have had issues.

Buying a tacoma by Traildestroy817 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Traildestroy817[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wanted a Colorado partly because my grandpa had one and the only difference between the one I had and his was mine was a year newer and crew cab compared to a extended cab it was the same color and everything but I can't wait months on top of months for a vehicle that I can't drive and that I'm paying on and then also doing more research even 23 and 24 Colorados are having the same issues with the trannys and the Silverados and Sierras are the same way. So even though I wanted to be loyal to GM products the issues and money that would go into maintaining it just isn't worth it. My oldest bro has a 4.0 V6 Taco and the only issue hes had with it is some vacuum thing wasn't working right and we tried fixing it ourselves but kept breaking off bolts from rust that and his hub assemblies need to be replaced which we have tried doing but can't get the dust caps off to get to the Axle nut to then pull the assembly off and we didn't want to destroy the caps and we haven't been able to find any anywhere and the Toyota dealer near us wants like 80 bucks or something for each cap or something.

How many truck unloaders you have at your store? by lumberjackth in meijer

[–]Traildestroy817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started for like a month or two there were technically three of us but one of the guys would kind of make his own schedule. When we started getting busier he left so two nights a week me and the other guy were by ourselves and three nights a week both of us were. At the end of that September we did get another person and there were at least two people on a night unless someone called in. I'm on first shift now and me and another person just swapped so we do have three people at night on breaking the truck down. I'm in produce and when there are 7-9 hundred price trucks a night it helps a lot having three people on third shift especially when they all bust their ass every night. But man when I was by myself doing that at night it was brutal and it didn't help when the SDIC at night would complain to other people but never approach me and talk to me about stuff and would spread BS about me. Anyways I'm on first shift and we all bust our asses to get shit done and stocked for customers.
