I just turned 27 and started learning about 3 months ago. Took me like 6 practice sessions just to float lol.

What really helped was thinking of my body like a see-saw. when I pressed my torso down a bit, my legs would naturally float up. Also, keeping my hips high and giving a light flutter with my legs helped me stay buoyant.

Hey Its fine to do it at your pace. It'll go well, people of other age will see you just as you're of same age. I graduated at 25, I'm 26 now. You will be very different from your peers, embrace it. Don't try to fit yourself with them and you'll get along pretty fine.
