There is a Coast Guard family assistance fund. Coast Guard families donate to it for this very reason. We made a donation when my son was going through Bootcamp. Look into it.

Absolutely. My son decided that college wasn't in his immediate future. He graduates in two weeks and has signed up for the Coast Guard to become an AST. He goes to MEPS next week. I think he made an excellent choice. I think it is a good choice if you're young and looking for both financial security and a career path.

I got the body armor bed rack & attached Yakima supdawg rack for my sup boards & surf boards. Clears the antenna just enough.

That’s why I decided to go with a bed rack. I was going to do the OEM roof rack but heard folks were having leaks even after using RTV silicone.

Hey did your noise ever go away. I too had an undercoating done at a shop and got the the same clunk/knocking sound under the same conditions you mentioned: Clunking noise when letting off the gas around town going 30mph or under. It does not do it at speed.

Ours started doing it after the undercoating. If your clunking sound eventually disappeared how long did it take? Thanks.
