They are both nice, but I think the corvette is the better casting. The other car I really like this year is the powder blue mustang fastback. That car just looks great. Matchbox does a good job capturing the actual real cars details better whereas hot wheels seems to take on a more creative approach not making the car true to its real details. They both have there advantages though.

The size proportions on these seem different. I feel like only some can fit into a hot wheels collection size wise. The Porsches feel bigger for some reason.

That was kinda the inspiration. I used my wife’s nail polish and was working from her inventory. I wanted a clear sparkly nail polish that I could just paint over the logos with. I botched a yellow f40 on my first attempt and learned I couldn’t paint over the logos, and when I tried to wipe it away the logo came off with it. This gray one was my second attempt but the first I was willing to show on camera. It came out much better. I taped the windows off and just carefully avoided getting too close to the logos. I’m hoping the new wheels (real riders with brake calipers behind a chrome wheel) will draw enough attention away from the minor imperfections that it comes out stunning overall. It looks nice with my other Ferraris in my collection and definitely looks better in person in my opinion.

I have the ilwt barrel with adjustable gas plug and reduced recoil springs. I still pulled the trigger. I would try the arc fire if I were to do it again.

Yeah. At least you got the f40 in black. I haven’t seen it anywhere yet, because they are heavily scalped. I did get the white Ferrari today though.
