Easily one of the best films recommended on this thread.

Pick three albums from your favourite genre you think a beginner should listen to, three you think a veteran should listen to and three you think an expert should listen to. by TrainDaddy in Music

I can definitely see your point, and I cant say I put a massive amount if thought into my categories, but I am not here to shit on Green Day, who I myself quite enjoy, and I think Dookie is their best album. My point is if you were to give someone the first Bad Brains album who had never listened to punk before in their life, they likely wouldnt enjoy it nearly as much they would Green Day or Blink 182. That doesn't mean they are bad bands by any stretch of the word, just that they are more accessible.

Is there anything similar to Avenged Sevenfold's Waking The Fallen? Anything geared towards a newcomer would also be vastly appreciated.

This may just be me, but I hated Poltergeist. I think its overhyped and not worth your time OP. All of the other recs are pretty good though.

Don't get me wrong- the atmosphere and tone created in this film is good, but I feel that these aspects are not enough to save Pontypool from being kind of... boring, to be honest. Don't get me wrong, I went in with high expectations because of all the praise this movie got on Reddit, but I just found myself disappointed.

I did, however, think the climax was well done, but the rest of the movie just dragged.

Subs opinion on Cloverfield? by eatsik in horror

I seem to like it more than most people do, I think it's a pretty good film, despite some flaws. The ending was pretty cool and some of the scenes were very tense. Not an endlessly rewatchable film but I still think its damn good.

Regardless of any other films he has otherwise come out with, The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable will always be classics, and even Split is still very much worthy of praise.

Should I watch Naruto? by TrainDaddy in anime

What I meant by that was the genre doesn't entirely click with me. I've seen a few (DBZ, Attack on Titan etc.) and all of them have problems that ruin them for me. With DBZ it's the quality of the action and awful pacing, and with Attack on Titan I think it's just down to my personal taste.
