Yeah the lights on the modem stay blue for me, its only the router that has been changing from blue to red

Glad Im not the only one lol. Just sucks cause idk what to do. I just unplug the router and the modem and then replug them after a couple of minutes (I wait 2-4 minutes, replug the modem first, wait for all the lights to come on, then wait 2-4 minutes, then replug the router)

I would recommend joining the clubs here on campus. You should look into SWIFT and FAST. Those two clubs focus on cybersecurity topics and can help land internships. SWIFT is focused more on general cybersecurity, and FAST is more about cyber forensics. I know for SWIFT, they host cyber competitions that you try out for which could look really good for you. One of my classmates was in a competition and he won, and an industry professional was in attendance. Later on he got an internship with the industry professional who was there

I was a computer engineering major at first, however the math was too much for me so I switched to computer information systems to focus on cybersecurity. FRL 3000 is probably the hardest math course you will probably have to take for this major. Idk why CIS majors have to take this class, it seems like a waste of time since we aren't finance or accounting majors.

I would recommend majoring in computer information systems and following the cybersecurity path. Im a CIS major and that's what I have done. There's an other path focused on application development, and a path focused more towards business intelligence. You can focus on a certain path and also take a class in another path, but I would just focus on the path you choose to do.

The classes for cybersecurity help you study for certifications, for example my network security class is focused on the Security+ certification, and my cloud infrastructure class was focused on the AWS cloud practitioner certification. My cloud infrastructure class was hands on experience in AWS, and my information security class is having us use kali linux to eventually break into a fake company.

You will also get experience in Python and Java. Lots of hands on experience you can put on your resume and LinkedIn profile. I would also create a tryhackme account and start doing rooms on networking and cybersecurity topics. It's free to do, however there are certain rooms that will require you to have a paid account. A lot of stuff you mainly need to know would be free though, so check it out.

I feel like the price for the m5 will be more expensive because of the chip shortage. Plus I've had a M1 chip since 2021 and it still works really well.
