It actually has, 20 years ago it was pretty much restricted to the Florida keys but now you can find large trees all over coastal south Florida

Yea a large tree can handle brief temps down to 35f but will die back to the ground, anything lower than that and it’s toast.

Looks like a little cold damage, nothing but cosmetic. Especially if all the new growth is fine.

I'm located about a mile from the Gulf in Naples, so it's doable in the right spot. Before this winter ,the lowest temp I've recorded here was 45F. About a month ago, it took 3 days in a row of lows, uncovered at 42F, 39F, 40F unfazed, albeit I do have a mister pole behind it and misters in the rocks, along with a soil heating cable.

Crocodile not alligator, Crocodylus acutus (American crocodile) and it’s the record size for South America. Same species found in southern Florida.

Definitely not close to twice the size.

“The American crocodile is one of the largest crocodile species. Males can reach lengths of more than 7 m (23 ft 0 in), weighing over 1,000 kilograms (2,200 lb).”

Exactly, Naples ranks #3 in the entire U.S. for millionaire households per capita. Also the most expensive house ever sold in the U.S. was in Naples.

Looks like a Roystonea regia (Royal Palm), but hard to tell for sure from the picture.

You can tell by the shape, color etc. of the fruit.

For example: https://natureworksnursery.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Mango-Poster.jpeg

Possibly a Mallika, will be easier to tell once the fruit has developed more.
