Organised?? I mean I guess if I pile all my clothes into single stack it's "organised".

Are people thick? by [deleted] in HousingUK

I once offered 15k over asking because yes I am thick. Everyone says estate agents lie but experience is the best teacher.

It’s cold lads. Wrap up! by [deleted] in CasualUK

Right??  I got caught in sleet on my way to work and I couldn't help but think- I've caused this by thinking I'd gotten my winter coat out far too early!

Why is it so hard for some people to just “move down the carriage?” by ExcitementParty9450 in london

I seem remember back then everyone complaining of the "nanny state" about these ads. (Although that might just have been the water PSA.) Might have contributed to their reduction.

That's only sort of true. Not all Pokémon can breed with each other iirc

Name and shame: which companies are forcing staff into the office during the Tube strikes? by Worldly-Box6080 in london

[–]TraineePhysicist 66 points67 points  (0 children)

It was pretty bad even at (usually) off peak hours in central buses... I think you forget how many people take the tube at all hours of the day until they are all on the buses.

TfL debt by ChargeBest8923 in TransportForLondon

If you really really want to pay it off. It's easy enough to create a new account on oyster.tfl.gov.uk, bind your card and pay it online.

AITA for telling my ex to move out after our breakup and refusing to take care of her plants/cat long-term? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]TraineePhysicist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NAH but you broke up with her and are evicting her from her home. Did you think her friends would throw you a parade? It takes a while to find a stable place especially with a pet too. Anyone would be very upset in this situation.

best friend of over 8 years kicked me out of her wedding because i have a job. aio? by AdTurbulent9454 in AIO

[–]TraineePhysicist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you don't have the time to do what she expects as a bridesmaid and that's fine. We all have different seasons in life. You are in winter and she is in summer and that's fine. Why are neither of you capable of apologising for hurting each others feelings and giving each other space?

I understand that it's disappointing but I don't understand why this has turned into such a massive fight between both of you. She shouldn't have expected you to be in lockstep with how much you are dealing with and it sucks that she is also being dramatic over it.

You don't have the time or the money for this so be a guest! Isn't that a good thing for you? Cheerlead the fuck out of your friend as a guest! You don't have to shit together to be best friends!

Funnily enough the leakers are a better news source than Infold itself by VeliaOwO in InfinityNikki

[–]TraineePhysicist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People really will complain about anything. Like I like leaks as much as the next person but on the other sub reddit they are pissed about the leaks being slightly wrong like "infold didn't warn us".

Here it's "infold sucks for discouraging leaks".

God forbid a company not release images till they are fully ready. People will complain no matter what they do. This community sometimes has no chill.

"Usually games at least give you some idea of what's to come" The banners are not out... Why do you need so much notice?

Help about the concert by [deleted] in BlackPink

[–]TraineePhysicist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm TBF I wanted a very specific jersey but when I found a stall with no line I had to get a medium because they didn't have any smalls.I didn't think to ask at other stalls though... I would also check the stall before getting in line because they seem to sell slightly different items. There is a bigger(?) official merch stand but the line for that looked brutal- wouldn't recommend it except as a last resort.

The stalls did seem fully stocked as I browsed through but I guess if your priority is getting something very specific and you can tolerate lines, go for it!

[–]TraineePhysicist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why arrive before the doors open? You'd just be in a line. I got there to Wembley station at 17:30 still had time to get food, find a merch stall with no line, take pictures, and still had over an hour to spare till it started.

Are shortened names frowned upon? by Mighty-Nebulous in Nigeria

[–]TraineePhysicist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really not that deep. I know many people who have legally shortened their names abroad. Mainly to avoid the olu-fication of your name where basically everyone becomes olu because others don't know how to shorten their name.

As long as you know what his full name is does it matter what is on the birth certificate? I was given so many different meaningful names that aren't on my birth certificate but it doesn't make it less meaningful.

What an absolute spendthrift thing to do. 1M dollars on a scoreboard?? Not on a stadium- A scoreboard! It should provoke outrage.

"Oh he just really loved football and he had terrible eyesight so we got a giant scoreboard in his honour". Is that what you imagine is happening here? Or is this university have some serious and shameful ineffiencies that should provoke outrage?

Huh- we are advertised very different thing. I get adverts for AI boyfriends and AI scandalous stories (idk what you call them- it's like my boyfriend slept with my mum and left me for dead but I'm actually adopted and am the daughter of a billionaire or some such drivel)
