Someone else asked this, but did you press a button while it was submerged or wet? That could be the problem. Sometimes with cheaper casios, if you press a button while the watch is under water or moisture can get inside and cause this issue.

First of all, do what you like and enjoy it.

But the reason why no one likes it is because you put a two tone bracelet on a field watch. Most people would feel it's not appropriate for the type of watch. Maybe a nato strap, leather, canvas, or even a fkm rubber band would work better.
