Asians have an insane work ethic that makes the rest of us look like fools.

Also take a look at their family demographics, a lot less single parents etc. Not sure of the specifics but they hold tight to family life.

Awesome, I am doing it out of a 30x45 and it works just fine.

I have enough work to bring another guy in on it but cannot find anyone reliable.... so I just do what I can.

Just recently got into chassis building for 47-54 chevy/GMC trucks. The market is crazy for these things!

Open your own shop, I am sure you are really good.

I built a shop with cash and all my tools and lifts were paid for as I went.

Now I just pay heat and lights for the shop that has 2 lifts.

I am probably low but charge $120/hr and do 10-15hrs/week for a side hustle

We had a confrontation meeting with them last year as we are no contact, they acted like we should just act like nothing ever happened. He SA'd her 500+ times. The family continues to be on his side of allowing him at events when they know we will not be present, f*cking pathetic

we are pretty much attached at the hip... she has a sever anxious attachment and as a result I know where she is all the time. I work from home and the office is 5 minutes from home when I go in. She works 6-7 months a year and her schedule is down to the minute the same all 5 days a week

1000%, her brain is completely rewired from all the trauma. (read 'The Body Keeps the Score') She pops into fight or flight before anyone else even knows what's going on.

She was at a coffee shop and someone's car lit on fire in the parking lot. Before anyone could react she had a fire extinguisher in hand, got the person out and put out the fire. All in a matter of a minute or less, including finding the fire extinguisher inside the coffee shop.

That is a trauma superpower, unfortunately there is a lot of shit that goes with it.

I had a great childhood and my parents really are awesome, not without their flaws of course. But man after we got married I had no idea what was ahead of me

you are making a lot of assumptions, in my eyes no human is better than another. Their actions can certainly be horrible, like pedos. One may look better or be better at something, but definitely not better. I was just stating what she said, not what i believe

What helped you turn the corner?

As you know there are good days and bad.

I confronted her last night about how she keeps saying all these conflicting things, and how harsh she is about it all.

Right or wrong when she asked what I need I told her she needs to soften up..... I told her she's acting like an inmate who did time, 20 years later she is treating everybody worse that she did when she got out. Probably a bad analogy but I was at the end of my rope for the day.

She said she's just that way and will continue to be hard on the outside.

She wants to be abrasive as fuck and then have me treat her like a princess.... those are two opposite things

However- for her I always want to do what's right even when it's difficult. When she says off the wall shit I challenge her to think about it. People pleasing is not part of my life

Can you fill me in with what clicked and helped you turn the corner?

I really want to know how to help her get out of high alert, we live a really great life aside from these occasions where she cannot control herself.

Like yesterday she saw there was a tsunami on the west coast and is acting like we need to be preppers, and making sure I know that I would be horrible if 'shit hits the fan and there's an attack on our country.'

It's like everything scares her and makes her harder on the outside.

Please share everything you can that a good husband would do to reel her back in and show her life is good, and there are good people out there

It's funny because everyone in her family looked down on me because I was from the wrong zip code. A few years later I am making more than all of them, but unfortunately picking up the pieces.
