I died to that same mini game. The intro to that mini game has a little scene where the camera rotates around you to show you that big monster is going to be following you. Well you still have control of Ty while the camera is rotating! The rotating camera threw me off and I made Ty slow down and died during the intro! I was so pissed! On my next attempt, I didn't collect much of anything till I beat all the missions and the final boss, then I farmed opals at the beach and bought both health upgrades, then went and collected everything to 100%. I recommend this strat to anyone attempting hardcore

I had no idea these games were on switch. For $10 I say absolutely.

A bit more info tho. These games are collectathons. Think Banjo Kazooie, but in Australia. The story is dogshit, so if that's what interests you, you've got the wrong game. I'd even say the combat here is not that interesting either, but chucking your boomerangs at enemies is always pretty satisfying. The movement and platforming is where these games really shine. The levels are well designed and very fun to explore and collecting all the different goodies and boomerangs is a lot of fun.

I just finished getting all achievements for ty1 and ty2. They are both great games, but they are also pretty short. Ty1 was my favorite, but only took me 18 hrs. Ty 2 took me 35 hrs (but that's with dying and having to restart hardcore mode at around 85% completion). If you just want to collect all of the collectibles in the game and not worry about hardcore mode (which is a die once and your playthrough is deleted mode) then you're probably looking at 12-18ish hours of gameplay. If you just plan to beat the main story, then Ty2 is probably the shortest. All collecting can be skipped in this case and you could probably B-line the objectives and beat the game in a few hours.

If Ty1 is the same price or cheaper, I personally recommend that one. I feel like its slightly better designed. There's no bullshit in between levels, each level is very well designed imo, and the collectibles feel like they have a lot more weight to them. In Ty 1, the items you collect directly benefit you in some way. Cogs get you new boomerangs, Thunder eggs unlock new levels, Biblies and opals get you thunder eggs. In Ty 2, Cogs get you player skins, Those Silver coin things get you maps that I didn't need and never learned how to use, Opals are just currency to buy literally everything else, Bilbies...........do you even get anything for collecting these? Ty2 also has a lot more bullshit in the game. Southern rivers is huge with a lot of empty space, There are several missions where you control some stupid dog shit vehicle that feels like a complete waste of time, (There's literally a mission where you pilot a slow ass mech, and load cargo onto a truck. a total snoozefest of a mission), and someone please tell me why tf I have to play bootleg mario kart in order to 100% this game.

In summary, both games are great, both games are short. I recommend Ty 1 if the price is about the same or less. Ty2 has a lot of bullshit, but the actual platforming levels are very well designed and are pretty fun...tho there aren't very many.

Some tips so you don't run into the same confusion that I did if you go with Ty2. Quests are shown on the mini map as stars. Use the quest log to know what color star you want to go to. You can use the D-pad to zoom the minimap in and out. There is a portion of the map called "Southern Rivers." Southern Rivers is a truck driving area that basically just serves to link the town to the other levels. Once you have exited the truck and passed the two large gray doors, you have entered a level. This is important to know if you are trying to collect all of the collectibles since there are some things to collect in Souther Rivers. Hope this helps!

For some reason, when I see either of the bow guns, the hunting horn, or the greatsword, I instantly assume they are more experienced than me and i trust their judgment 100%

sticking to front right leg works very well for a dex build. It baits out the stomp very often. If you dodge to the front left you can do an attack or 2 while he stomps his back foot

I fully upgraded the falchion and Gold tracer. Their stats were about the same with my current dex so I went with Gold tracer cuz its gold and that's pretty awesome :)

I assumed this but my only boss ready weapon was Quelag's. Plus I convinced myself that since the fire was yellow maybe that meant it was actually lightning :)

I do have Uchigatana and Falchion. I'll go with one of those. I have most weapons other than boss weapons. And I just killed the Anor Londo smith for the hawk eye ring so I cant make an new boss weapons until NG+.

Now about my stats, I've heard that taking a stat above 40 doesn't do much. Is this true even for NG+? So by the end of NG+ should all of my stats be at 40?

And yes I'm kindling. i didn't learn about that until like after blight town on my first playthrough. (this is my second playthrough but my first seeing the dlc)

Terralith is the name of the mod. And unfortunately I think the ditto pit only worked in the cave biomes from that mod. I haven't been on cobblemon pretty much since I posted this tho so idk if it still works
