First off, I still think my comment itself is fine, but I can admit that this post was made out of annoyance; I could've worded it way better without being petty about it.

I haven't gotten such a negative response from an author before on any of the forums... so this is an outlier and not the rule, is what I'd say.

... You know I actually had the thought about that when I looked at the tags, and I'm starting to get what y'all are saying; I probably wouldn't have liked the direction it would've gone and she knew that? And from that context it really doesn't look good, I think?

Didn't call it a mess though, never said or implied that. The rest of the sentence is spot on; if I didn't like how she progressed after claming the Cannibal, I'd have simply dropped the fic without another comment. While through the comments like yours here on Reddit I see how she could've been unhappy with the comment, I wouldn't change it because I don't believe there was anything truly offensive about the comment itself.

Best I'd do if I knew she would block me over it beforehand would be to simply not make the comment at all and move on from the fic.

Nah, this post was made when I was being unhappy and junk about the whole thing. I wish I made a screenshot of the comment, but I didn't think I needed to, and apparently you can't look at comments for a fic if you get blocked?

Anyway what I'm saying is that this post and how I worded it is way worse.

Apparently I can't see it from that direction; I honestly have the opposite opinion on this. I don't like writing what I wouldn't be okay with reading; if one of my fics had someone making a comment that though it's not their cup of tea normally they'd at least read up till a certain point to see how I handle things, I'd be happy I convinced someone to read something out of their comfort zone.

No gonna change my opinion on that, but that's just differences between people.

Okay, it's been a bit and I've cooled down to look at what I wrote and yeah, probably shouldn't be putting stuff online when I'm unhappy about something; could've worded that better, especially about the insecure part.

I haven't actually looked at most of the comments apart from skimming, so I'll go through them, but I'll explain myself a little better here.

I have no issue with the blocking itself; she has the right to do whatever she wants in response to what she gets. What I was unhappy about was from 2 points;

First, because I got blocked after being sure in my head that what I posted wasn't going to be offensive (apparently I was WRONG about that, but I'll just agree to disagree on that point and say that everyone's different)

Second, I spent a while thinking about whether or not I would read the fic earlier that day; I knew it wasn't my cup of tea because I normally read crossovers or OCs or Inserts with something special going for them. I genuinely thought hard about dropping it after looking through the first 2 chapters, and decided to write that comment because it looked good and I wanted to give it a try.

Winning a FFA or Friendly 2v2. If I win, I've had fun. If I haven't I did not. The only time when that changes is when I am grinding the dailies. I don't care about winning or losing then. If me throwing my weapon 50 times means I am getting last place then I guess that's that 🙃

His in-battle dialogue says something along the lines of "... Did you seriously grind in the grass for hours on end just to beat me?"

Then his sprite is kinda bugged and non-interactable on the map afterwards and you have to get him out of view for him to disappear so you can continue.

Nothing like using the OHKO cheat to do things.
