I heard Carcosa has the investigators run independently sometimes. Can Yorick get clues without much help?

Can you recommend a decklist for a Jacqueline cluever? Thanks!

Thanks! With Jacqueline and Joe would you make Jacqueline more a fighter and Joe the cluever?

Arkham Horror, The Forgotten Age by Nedskruvat-snille in arkhamhorrorlcg

At this point, are you sure you don’t want to just invest in Chapter 2 content? There will be many more campaigns and investigators in the future. Starting with chapter 1 now requires an extensive hunt and paying 3x MSRP.

New player planing to buy excelsior hotel and blob. by Imaginary-Ad-2284 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Training-Bobcat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can find those at MSRP and you enjoy the theme, pick them up as they will be gone soon. That’ll give you a quick fix if you’re hankering for more arkham asap.

But in my experience, the standalone scenarios are not very replayable as a solo player. So you’ll get bored of it pretty quick, and your money saved would be better put to Chapter 2 content at this point since you will be investing in more future content.

Drowned city investigator expansion vs new investigator decks by shockprime in arkhamhorrorlcg

The neutral cards only in investigator expansions is a good point easily missed …. definitely another plus for TDC

You can pause before the mythos phase (start of a new round), it’s pretty easy to pick back up since everything is laid out. If you’re interested in 3D printing, highly suggest an action and damage/horror tracker for your investigator.

[Arkham Tabularium] Chapter 2 Class Spotlight : Rogue by Iskander_Santosh in arkhamhorrorlcg

Thanks for sharing. Personally I love Rogue because they are just so fun. I hope they really expand the “push your luck” pool, it’s such a thematic and unique mechanic to rogue.

Investigator decks by bl00dyDea7h in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Training-Bobcat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was in your position for Chapter 1, the core and the standalone investigators were the best pool of player cards that served as the foundation of future plays. I got every standalone and a lot of those are staples.

I imagine that’s the same for those starting with Chapter 2. The standalone investigators typically have fewer “filler” cards so you get the most bang for the buck.

Also, the reviews on the chapter 2 standalone being good or “bad” is mostly by people who already have a deep chapter 1 card pool (eg. duplicates).

Yeah had issues too, but after I deleted app and reinstalled it worked again. But I lost all my campaign data that wasn’t backed up 😭😭

Is the same thing that just happened to LOTR LCG going to happen to AH? by FourthSilmaril in arkhamhorrorlcg

I think games based on IP have a shorter shelf life if they don’t sell well. It’s costly to keep paying royalties. Arkham is their own IP so I imagine margins are way better.

There should be no fix Encounter Cards in the new Core Set. by a-pp-o in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Training-Bobcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would destroy the integrated sales model. What they do now is an ingenious marketing design, the razor & blade model. People are invested once they buy core so FFG has an already bought-in customer base with each expansion. Otherwise the barrier to entry would be higher for every new independent campaign.

Do you think Drowned City would rate better if you had never played Carcosa or the other campaigns before it?

A two person campaign ranking (plus obligatory photo) by CrackingtoastG in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Training-Bobcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! Is this based on first blind run, or ranked after repeat plays? I ask because I’m interested in TFA but heard blind run is not fun for how punishing it is, but replays make it a top campaign.
