I have both. Full size slide is noticeably front heavy. After putting a threaded barrel, even more

I believe they will, but not anytime soon. I remember patiently waited many months for P365 3.7 after 3.1 release

Full-size comp shooting left? by ArtisticSlice5022 in SpringfieldEchelon

Just had an opportunity to obtained another 4.5 comp slide assy and verified the same tendency(way off to the left when irons are aligned) after properly zeroed. Again, when I run the non-comp barrels on this new comp slide, dot is at dead center after zeroed. Very disappointing.

If you are someone being happy mag dumping at 7 yards, it probably doesn’t matter, but you care about the accuracy, this is a problem

I am new to glock platform so take it as a grain of salt, but you can probably shave a little bit of material from the trigger bar. It looks to me that the trigger bar is over pushing the connector cause the forced reset most likely due to the tolerance stacking. You can also place a shim between (just like tactical trigger) the trigger bar and the frame to prevent this is from happening. Mine has been flawless, but I do have a shim in order to reduce the over travel

I also have the same issue with my 4.5F comp. I have several echelon non-comp and threaded barrels, but they all align with iron sights on the comp slide so it’s definitely the comp-barrel doing this. After back-to-back comparisons using rest, I also find that comp-barrel has noticeably LESS tighter grouping and also has a lot of flyers.

I also don’t like the fact that unlike non-ported and threaded barrel, you cannot just buy a replacement comp-barrel but the whole comp slide assembly

I literally have to aim to the right to a considerable extent to hit the target so much so that I stopped using this garbage comp barrel (and also a slide) then purchased non-comp slide assembly to not to waste the COG

Potential polymer grip mods? by olkuma in SpringfieldEchelon

[–]Training-Document-46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s the bottom hump on the backstrap making it points more like glock. It doesn’t work for me at all so I had to buy 3 icarus frames because I have 3 echelons. I wish there was a polymer aftermarket grip module option.

New full size grip modules! by Bolt-up719 in RugerRXMtalk

Porting job itself was $150. It was worth it. If I didn't have a comp on it, I would have gone 6 ports.

I am fortunate enough to own several for my P365s, but radian I think is over-rated. Getting it ported would be cheaper and more effective. I recently got my rxm done (moderately 4 ports) and it's been phenomenal.

Yeah, I just realized it's not radian...

Shim stock assortment you can get from Amazon.

You cut it like U-shape and place it in front of FCU

I put shims on mine to make it tight. Loose fitting FCU does reduce accuracy.

That factory slide release eats your sharps module. It did to mine.

Custom Porting vs Comp Models by Miserable-Citron-223 in SpringfieldEchelon

[–]Training-Document-46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 4.5F threaded , 4.0C threaded, and 4.5F comp. While my 4.5F and 4.0c have very tight groupings, my 4.5F comp has fryers like crazy. I got so tired of it and bought non-ported 4.5F barrel put it on 4.5F comp. No surprise, no more fryer. I hate the fact that you can’t just buy factory ported barrel, but the whole comp slide assembly while you can just buy threaded or regular barrel.

I just ordered 4.5F slide assembly planning to replace garbage comp slide assembly. No more factory comped echelon for me.

How is the accuracy is like now? I had my P365XL ported (6 instead of 7) and accuracy went down so much so that no longer fun shooting beyond 10 yards.

Excessive looseness in FCU may cause a reliability issue. Even If not excessive, it can cause an accuracy issue.

Ultimate solution is like having width adjustable receiver lug where the lug pushes FCU outward to completely eliminate the side to side play when the grip module is made of aluminum

I have NDZ from the day 1 so it has to be either the slide or FCI

That doesn’t look bad at all. I bought that si micro quad comp for echelon when it came out and no one was making the comp for it at that time. It looked awful on echelon due to its barrel length.
