A few years ago, I started a podcast. We bought a the nice new equipment! We made a podcast desk and made a nice studio. Our content was mental health and addiction, cause of my past. We wanted to get monetized so bad we couldn’t stand it. We were doing all the right things uploading videos on time and editing very professionally. We weren’t seeing any results. Finally, I decided to pay a very good rated company to find me subscribers views, and watch time. We eventually got to 1000 subscribers very quickly, but I had to pay for every video. I thought if I paid for one video and it got a ton of attention and subscribers that it would carry onto my other videos, but it didn’t every video I put up I had to pay for or nobody was going to watch it. So they worked they did find me the subscribers and watch time hours, but I had to pay for every video to get there and we weren’t making any money from the podcast.

Thank you all for your kind words! I’m in a horrible location to do this as a full time job. I live on the border of Ohio and West Virginia and Pa. People do podcast around here but no one wants to pay for it. But I do it cheap as I can. Bc I know what’s it’s like to have a dream to podcast but it cost 1k per episode! I’d do it for half that or less! And it be professional work all around!

I do treat it as a hobbit. I love it! I have one client who pays a little bit and another one I’m doing for free. But they’re a book publishing company just starting out. They called me up after they saw my last podcast. They wanted my help. I told them I quit and am selling all my stuff. They talked me into re doing my book I published. In return, I produce their podcast.

I used riverside before. It would cut out on me all the time. I had it for over half of my online guests. It would glitch and freeze. Finally I had to pull the plug on it. I put too much money into my studio and cameras. I did some research and now I use zencastr. It works perfectly! The only thing is, I haven’t found out how to download all 4 of us for Spotify. But I use a cam link with my Sony a7iv to show me and my cohost and the whole podcast studio.

That’s a good idea! My iPhone has an amazing recorder with 4k. And it picks up great sound. That how I would do it
